I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. I love your thrifty can-do attitude towards home decorating! I’ve recently started collecting white serving pieces (and vases) and they are so versatile! That was a great post!

Sweet Friend -
Loved your lists ( i love a great list – even better when a
generous hearted friend shares!)

And. . . I am happy to say I have most all of those items
in my home – need to punch up the white some though.

This will be our first Christmas season together as blog friends;
and I am so anticipatory of seeing your take on that season.
If its anything like Easter, I am in for a treat!

I will mail the 2009 Christmas with Southern Living books
out on Tuesday, one for you and one for a drawing.

Please email with your address, I put it in a safe place
after receiving your garage sale items and don’t have a
clue as to where its at. its a pity, I have the prettiest
address book from Mary Carol Garrity’s store – its green
and pine coney . you would be “green” with friendly
envy !
hugs, patti

Hi Rhoda,
This is more of a general comment about your wonderful blog that you do so well; it is truly inspiring. I enjoy the decorating ideas, recipes, and personal stories and photos. You are so lovely–you always look so pretty and well put together–your clothes, accessories, hairstyle, etc. are so attractive; you give me something to aspire to. I’m currently dieting and exercising (thanks to you) — I’ve lost 7 lbs with a few more to go. Thanks for being such an outstanding role-model in all areas. You have created a lovely lifestyle for yourself, it’s fun to enjoy your very creative ideas for living.
Thanks so much, Lynda

Hi Rhoda, I just got through watching the video and reading you list of 10 items. It was so much fun for me to hear your voice with your great accent. I just love a southern accent. What a fun day. Great list of elements that anyone could find and use in their home. I bet you converted a lot of woman to thriftying with that post. It is amazing what is out there. It is a treasure hunt. You do find some wonderful pieces, great job, really enjoyed the post, Kathysue

Hi Rhoda! Thanks so much for stopping by my little blog today and leaving your lovely comment. I absolutely loved your list of thrifty ideas, and as my decorated-on-an-extremely-tight-budget kitchen shows, those little touches work wonders! I looked quickly at the tablescape post and man oh man am I ready to get Christmas decorating underway. Lovely ideas. I’m hoping Santa brings me a laptop this year because our computer seems to overheat and shut itself off randomly so as soon as possible I will be around looking through many more of your previous posts. :) Nice to have ‘met’ you. I sure hope to have you stop by again soon…

Hello Rhoda,

That was a great post at TLC. Your blog is great and I look forward to reading it everyday. After reading your tips to new bloggers, I was inspired to start my own blog of all the DIY projects my hubby and I have done. I still have a lot to learn but, I’m SLOWLY figuring things out. I would be honored if you dropped by destinationseaborn.blogspot.com and leave me some feedback. Thank you. Lisa

Loved your tips over at The Lettered Cottage…some of my favorites. And I still think that $5 light fixture is the bee’s knees. :-)

That was a wonderful post! My mom is quite thrifty too. Mirrors, books and greenery are a must in this house to feel holes that won’t empty your pocket-book!
