A friend introduced me to a couple of shopping spots in Canton, GA that I had never been to before. Fun Finds is in Canton, right off of I-75 and it’s a consignment store with lots of home decor. I talked to the owner, Betty and she said that she has been an interior designer for years and with the economy like it is, decided to open up a consignment shop a couple of years ago and that it is doing well. It really doesn’t look like a consignment store when you walk in, that’s for sure.
It was fun to browse and see what all is out there.
Fun Finds Consignments Home Decor and More. You can see all the details on their website.
Pretty table
Lots of furniture and accessories.
Lots to see.
Doesn’t look consignment, does it?
If you are in the area, check them out and tell Betty I sent you.
This little bunny planter was too cute, but no I didn’t get it.
Check out this banquette set. Funky for sure!
Carousel horse.
I think these book cases would be a good paint candidate.
Side table and dishes.
I love barley twist tables like this.
Now here’s what I bought. My mom needed some new artwork to go in their bedroom, so I found this large canvas painting for $35. I thought it was a great deal and it looks so good with the new bedding we got. We are almost finished with the bathroom and I hope to share that next week! It’s looking beautiful!
Just down the road is another stop, Cherokee Close Outs. I had no idea what to expect in here.
There were a lot of things to browse, from food to dishes, but the light fixtures caught my eye. We needed a new vanity light fixture in my parents new bathroom and I found one for $33 total. That’s a great deal and I’ll show it to you when I show off the new bathroom. Coming soon, we’re not quite finished with it yet.
Lots of pretty sconces and the prices were very reasonable.
Brass mixed with chrome and oil rubbed bronze.
Lanterns and vanity styles.
These outdoor fixtures are pretty.
They even carry some bathroom vanities too.
So, there you have it! Some shopping spots in Canton, GA that you might never have been to before. This was my first time, but I can tell you, I’ll go back and check them both out again.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Rhoda, from Atlanta, GA and I love decorating and DIY projects. Decorating a home doesn't have to cost a fortune and I've spent years thrifting at antiques markets and yardsales, finding those treasures that make a home unique. I'm here to inspire and encourage other women to find their own inner creativity. Won't you join me?

We have a few consignment shops here in Decatur but none are merchandized as well as this store. Thanks for the eye candy this morning Rhoda!
Thanks for taking us shopping with you…that was fun!
We don’t have any shops around my area like this great shop. Thanks for taking me for the ride.
Really cute stuff! I could not have left without that bunny planter.
My parents live in Canton!! I’ll have to see if my mom has ever been to this shop. We’ll be coming to Georgia for a visit in April, so I’ll have to try to stop by.
Thanks for writing a post about this shop. I live down the road from it and have always told myself, I must go check it out. Now I MUST go in and do some shopping.
I can’t decide if I like that red tufted headboard (maybe in another fabric) or if it’s shaped like the Arby’s hat on their logo… either way it’s definitely eye catching…
On Tori Spelling’s Oxygen TV show she came and visited North Georgia near Canton and totally racked up some awesome finds at stores like this. Who knew 575 North had so many stores full of treasures!
Can I just say, that I LOVE your “virtual” shopping trips?!
My son’s family is moving to this area this coming summer! I love to see where you shop. Maybe I will luck into a shopping trip with you when I visit them. Maybe I can convince D.in Law she needs your help! Not everyone should do it all themselves, right?
Thanks for the heads up on these Rhoda!
My husband was born in Canton and his parents still live there. I’ll have to make a trip up to these spots one weekend very soon.
xo,
Amy
Rhoda…wow..the timing is perfect for this post, as I will be in Waleska Georgia, a neighboring town of Canton visiting my brother…I will be sure to visit this wonderful place with my sister in law and will definitely let them know that I found her shop thru your blog post….Thank you for featuring such a great place.
I have passed this along to my friends and loved ones in Roswell! What a find ………
Rhoda,
The bunny planter would have found it’s way home to the Fairfield House! So much to take in and explore. Sounds like my kind of day! I like the painting you got and look forward to seeing your mother’s ‘new’ room!
Your Friend,
Deborah
What a nice consignment store! We have two in Milwaukee that I frequent and I have had good success in selling nicer items there. I really like the painting you found. It reminds me of the one you have hanging in your parent’s porch. I must say you have a good eye for finding nice paintings. Sorry you didn’t buy the bunny. I love bunnies, too, and miss seeing your collection.
What great stores. You are so lucky to have so many outlet and second hand furniture. Can’t wait to see your parents bedroom and bath.
I went there YESTERDAY for the first time and consigned quite a few pieces! Such a great shoppe. I love your blog too

ROAD TRIP! Thanks for sharing and have a terrific Thursday.
Hi Rhoda! You know how you go to 1 website, then from there another, etc? Like internet ADD? Anyway I found this site: http://www.atlantaconsignmentstores.com/Atlanta-Bus-Tours.html. Spring tour dates aren’t posted yet but looks like fun! Love your blog. Rebecca – Montgomery, AL
I love consignment shops…since the inventory always changes! We have a ton near us in a little historic part of Richmond, VA…so they are a great resource. Another great place to shop for light fixtures is Shades of Light (http://www.shadesoflight.com/) – they have an awesome selection too..so be sure to check them out.
I’m so glad you live near me, Rhoda! Both of these are a great find, and I will fit a visit in my schedule soon. Your pictures are always gorgeous, too.
I’m excited about seeing the transformation of your parent’s bedroom and bath. What a blessing for all of you – for you to be able to give that gift to your parents, and for them to enjoy beautiful new spaces!
I LOVE these places too Rhoda! I have gotten everything from lighting to floral stems to dog supplies in Cherokee Closeouts. Have you ever been to Woodstock Outlet? Well, years ago Woodstock Outlet was exactly like Cherokee Closeouts! They have surely come a long way from those days. That was where I got my very first dining room table! Also, in case you have never visited the Canton Goodwill, it is right down from Cherokee Closeouts in the K-Mart shopping center….it’s a pretty good one!
Cindy, yes I have been to Woodstock Outlet many times. Haven’t been back there since I moved back to Marietta, but it has always been a fun one too.
You know you are my rabbit-lovin’, blue/green decorating, beach lovin’ ‘soul sistah’, so I congratulate you for walking away from that rabbit planter, blue/brown throw, orchid in a green pot and majolica looking green plate! Thank God you didn’t resist that painting. I would have had to send someone down there to check on you and be sure you’re still o.k. God bless you for using restraint. You are a better person than I am. I wish I could find some! ;o) And so does my husband…
Oh, you know me well! I just can’t justify buying anything until I know where I’ll be living next. I have so much stuff in storage, it’s crazy. So, not even a bunny planter needs to come home with me. When I open all my boxes again, it will be like Christmas.
Hey Rhoda,
Fun Finds is my go to place to find great things for my clients or me! I must have just missed you the day you were in… I had eyed the picture that you bought, went back the next day to purchase it and they said that someone came in right after I left and bought it! So glad that it went to a good home. LOL! That will be one of those misses that I never forget!
This post made me a wee bit homesick! I’m from the Atlanta area and now live in the Philly area. I went to Reinhardt University in Waleska, just next to Canton. There’s not much to do in Waleska, so just about everything we did for entertainment was in Canton or on down into Kennesaw. I wasn’t shopping for home decor back then so I don’t remember these shops (if they were even there then…it’s been a while!). But I’d love to check them out next time I am there for a visit!
Rhoda, I’m a little behind on my blog reading and just saw your post on Fun Finds and Cherokee Closeouts. I live in Canton and have consigned two pieces of furniture with Fun Finds that sold quickly and for much more than I would have asked for them…even after they receive their 50% commission. I try to stop by there at least once every two weeks just to check their inventory, and the ladies that work there are great. I have also purchased lighting at Cherokee Closeouts. Hope to see you there some time!
How did I miss this! Last week was crazy, and I guess this one just snuck by me on my Google Reader…
Great pictures, and glad to know about Cherokee Closeouts, too. I’m going to share this post with my friends who live up that way!
Oh, and thanks for stopping by my blog!
