I’m so happy and excited to be participating in Gina’s Summer tour of Homes this year. She’s the brainstorm behind this fun event and 26 bloggers will be sharing their homes with blogland, all this week. If you’ve missed them, you can see the list of bloggers here, so be sure and go back and catch up.
If you are coming over from Brittany at Pretty Handy Girl, WELCOME! I’m so glad you stopped by.
I’m so dang excited that I have a home that I can put in a tour this year. After 6 months of renovations, it all paid off and now I’m enjoying my cute home, sweet home….for sure!
Come on in and take a look around.
If you are new to my blog, WELCOME! I’m so glad you are here. A little about me. I bought a 1979 fixer upper house in April of 2012 and my dad and I spent 6 months renovating it. Move in was October 2012 and I’ve spent the last 6 months putting all my rooms together. I’m almost there with most of them and right now am working on my screened porch. Hope you enjoy the tour and please come back again!

My complete Home Tour with links to individual posts might be helpful for answering any questions.
I also did a video a few months ago, showing my house mostly done. This video was for an HGTV submission (nothing came of it), so I did a little tour of my house, talking about how long I’ve been decorating and lots of things I’ve done in my house, so you might enjoy this one! And you can hear my Southern drawl, up close and personal. 🙂
Please make yourself at home at Southern Hospitality!
The next stop on the tour is my friend, Traci at Beneath my Heart. She’s been working on a big renovation as well, so I hope you’ll stop over and see her gorgeous home too!
In fact, here are the complete list of bloggers posting their home tours today, so check them all out!

I’m going to Florida on Friday for a few days, but will still have some things up next week, but I’m going to skip Feature Friday this week and you’ll have all weekend to check out the home tour links. That should keep you busy for days!

Your home is lovely. Thanks for sharing with us. I love the pillow about Life is Beauty Full. May I ask where you got that? Thanks!

Hey, Mary, that pillow came from a Joss and Main sale, but I think it is still available on Wayfair.com.

Hi Rhoda! I haven’t been able to keep up with all of your posts along the way of your home re-do (due to family issues) so this is a great way to see the condensed version of your amazing renovations and decorations. Congratulations!

Rhoda I’m in awe of what you and your dad have done to that house – it is so gorgeous!
Thank you so much for joining the tour!
Stacey says
Rhoda, just love your new home. I have watched you and your Dad every step of the way. I’m in awe of how quickly you’ve put all the accessories together. We’ve been in our new house one year and I still have so far to go. I’m not one to buy things all the time just because I have to know where somethings going etc…. Your video may have just convinced me to head out to garage sales tomorrow. 🙂
Rhoda says
Stacey, I wish I could still go to yardsales, I miss them! I have too much stuff right now and have got to have my own sale soon. So many great things out there to find, so give it a try!
Karena says

Such a beautiful and elegant home, Rhoda! (I’ve enjoyed following the transformation on your blog.) One of my favorite pieces is the beachy themed cabinet in your master bath. Absolutely love it! (Would you mind sharing where you found it?)
Rhoda says
HI! Thank you so much. THat is a yardsale find (I know, I have crazy good luck on yardsales!) from when I lived in B’ham. Actually it was someone in my neighborhood who had the yardsale and she told me the piece originally came from Lakewood Antiques here in ATL, which is no longer there unfortunately. I’m sure a vendor made this piece out of reclaimed wood and I was lucky enough to get it for $25. It really makes a statement in my teeny tiny bathroom.
ashley @ the handmade home says
WOW. WOW. WOW. Are you tired? Because you are one busy inspiring lady! ;} I love your spaces and your home, Rhoda. It has come a long way thanks to your magical touch. How lovely! Awesomely beautiful. Way to go! {fist bump}

Rhoda! You must feel such an enormous sense of pride with all you’ve done to this home! The colours and all your cozy touches just reach out and welcome you in! Comfort is the word that comes to mind… there’s something soft and wonderful about every room where you just wanna kick off your shoes and enjoy the space. LOVE your home!

Rhoda,
Stopping by on the tour. A very graceful, comforting, and beautiful home. We also have a tri-level (60’s) which I actually really do like ALOT! The home was very updated, has cove ceilings with trim, large moldings on the ceiling area, all hardwood floors–a great start! My question…where did you get your entryway light? We have a similar one, yet dated and I really love the black/square style. I have looked at PB and found a few maybe options but really like yours. Also, I was just explaining to my girls this morning about my idea for our very open foyer–running board and batten in the few wall spaces there are and up the stairs–just like I saw you did!
Thanks for any info.
Kristin
Rhoda says
HI, Kristin, I will come over and look at your tri-level house too! They are fun floorplans. I got that lantern from Wayfair, which used to be CSN stores online:
