There’s a fairly new place in town, for you Birmingham girls to check out. I just found it about 4 or 5  months ago and have been back again just to take pics. They’ve been open over a year now, from what I understand and this is a fun place to browse. Now, mind you, it’s not a super thrifty place, but still fun to look.

It’s in an old brick lined building that used to be a Commissary, hence the name. This is the front porch as you walk up to the front door. Their presentation is great.

IMG_5118

It’s divided into areas where designers sell their wares, sort of like an antique mall. Lots of antiques and reproductions combined together and with the backdrop of old brick, it’s quite a beautiful place.

Great place for a unique gift.

I do believe these hydrangeas were real. I touched them a couple of times to be sure. They are probably dyed that color.

Of course, I love the damask chair.

A pair of old corbels were $220.

There’s a lot of contemporary original art in case anyone is interested in that.

A complete gallery in the back shows off lots of different types of original art. Not for the faint of pocketbook though. :)
