Thanks, Rhoda, for doing the design board with the Sally Ann sofa. I love the elements you picked, and some were just what I envisioned. You made it possible to “see” the room, and what could be done with the sofa.

Oh…..I am so glad I happened upon your blog! Great, great stuff……I am a huge thrift store, yard saling, auction going addict….my hubby can confirm it! I also am addicted to decorating and redecorating, (changing things up a bit) my nest often….but I never break the bank doing it!

I absolutely love, love, love that couch……I would so be using it!

I am a huge fan and this is WHY! I hope you would do more mood/inspiration boards and this one was great! Keep up the good work! could you do a post on decorating built in book cases and/or mantles? Jenn did one and i don’t see hardly any decorating advice on that topic! would love to see what you recommend!

Hey Rhoda,
What a fun find! I”m seeing chocolate walls and chairs in the great coral-pinky-red. Then something unexpected in the green maybe….balance with something creamy white. You did a great job…what a fun and creative thing to do. Are you really working with this sofa.,.. I think I’ve missed something! LOL

What a great sofa. My boho hippie daughter would love it! Especially with that roughed-up coffee table and the chartreuse greens you’ve added to that crazy mix of colors. Goes to show, you can make almost any old cast-off work if you try (though that blue one in the background would be a much bigger challenge-eek) Nice job, Rhoda.

Hey, Morgan! You’re welcome, it was fun pulling it all on one board to look at. I didn’t actually do this in Polyvore, so you can’t see where it all came from. I had to do it in Powerpoint, cause when I tried to save the sofa pic in Polyvore, it was all faded out, so didn’t work for this.

Rhoda, you are the BEST with a capital “B”!!! This looks so good! I love the funky art and the red chair, as well as the side table. I’m about to click over and study it in detail, but I just wanted to say THANK YOU for humoring us! You make decorating and design look so easy. And thanks to you, I hunted down my nearest “Sally Ann’s” today, along with stopping into a Goodwill and a PennyWise (local thrift chain). Sally Ann’s had an EYEPOPPING amount of really great furniture…however, there was not a “so ugly it’s gorgeous” loud vintage sofa there. I did see a few so “ugly it’s nothing BUT ugly” one’s tho
