Feature Friday: Starfish Cottage

Today, I’d like to introduce you to Kristy from Starfish Cottage.  I came across her blog awhile ago and knew that you would all enjoy seeing her little cottage near the sea as much as I did.  Kristy and her family live on the West Coast of Florida in a cottage by the water.  It’s not her dream cottage yet, they are still renting, but one day she wants to have her own cottage by the sea so that she can decorate to her heart’s content.

Come on in and meet Kristy, I think you’ll enjoy the visit.  Kristy’s cottage is casual, coastal and downright cozy.  You’ll feel right at home, as I did when I saw it.

White slipcovers, seashells, greenery.  Lots of pretty things to look at and enjoy.

Seashells look at home in a cottage by the sea or any cottage for that matter.

I love these elephant ears plucked and placed in a glass vase.

Kristy has created a cozy sanctuary for her family.

Dining room with casual slipcovered chairs.

Pretty in blue and white

Lovely spring table with seashells and eggs.

A pretty kitchen vignette.

I adore Kristy’s bedroom with the dark mahogany bed and white walls, with blue checked curtains.  Lovely space!

Kristy has done a wonderful job with this cottage by the sea.

Adding those special touches around the room.

I love how she has changed up her pillows to create a totally different vibe and feel in this room.  Colorful and fun, these pillows and orchid add a lot!

Enjoy touring Kristy’s cottage and I hope you’ll go over and say hello to her at her beautiful blog, Starfish Cottage.  You’ll enjoy your visit as much as I did.  I can tell that Kristy is a welcoming hostess.

I’ve been enjoying Kristy’s posts as I am a Florida girl and she and I have very similiar tastes! Maybe that’s why I like you so much , Rhoda! Thanks for showcasing a deserving girl.

What a cozy cottage! It would be a dream come true for me to have a beach home – even a rental.

I love the way she repeated the sea shells in so many different ways: I especially love the shadow boxes! There is such a wonderful & natural texture that comes from decorating with items that are gifts from God!

How pretty! I love her style. I would LOVE to have a cottage by the sea in Fl.!! It will never happen though. I’ll go see her blog too. XO, Pinky

HI Kristyn, this is a house I featured, so I don’t have any info on the items.
