Happy Sunday!
Summer’s heating up and before long I’ll be wishing for cooler weather. OK, so I already do. As much as I love the summer months, the heat wilts me by August and I can’t wait for some crisp Fall weather.
Here are a few thrifty finds last week that caught my eye.
A Bit of Beck scored this nice large desk at a yardsale for $50 and already snazzed it up with a new coat of paint. There are plenty of treasures to be had out there!
Beth from Alabama, found 2 pretty Steubenville vintage leaf plates for $3.00 each. I love these, so nice to have around.
Brand new blogger, Butet from A Charming Home, shared her VERY FIRST post with a thrifty find in this rocking chair she scored and refurbished for $15 from the Salvation Army. Cute and funky too! Welcome to blogging I hope you have fun with it!
Elz from House Pour, found this vintage oak table for $25 and after a lot of sweat equity, turned it into a fab new table to eat on. Love how this turned out. You can see how she did it over at her blog.
Allison at Fab Rehab picked up this sweet vintage sewing machine table for just $5 at a yardsale and turned it into a little show-stopper. Love the pop of pink inside.
Sweet bloggy friend, Lana, who is still living it up in Italy this year, found this GORGE soup tureen for $5 at a church sale. You know I would have bought this too!
Kiwi in Texas scored a $25 Goodwill desk and chair for a fab redo!
Last, but not least, Tracy scored this set of 4 vintage soda crates off Craigslist for $20. What a fun find these are! You never know what you’ll find on Craigslist.
There are a TON of parties out there to highlight all your projects, so please let’s keep this one about thrifty finds that were bought 2nd hand! Not a great sale from the store, or a recipe, or just a plain project, but 2nd Hand finds only!
And please DO NOT go back in your archives to OLD posts and link up. Let’s keep this party fresh and current!
- Add your permalink to the link list, which is the actual post that you did for this party, NOT your general blog url. To get the actual post, after you publish the post, just click on the title and THAT will be your party post url. PLEASE try to get the correct url in the first time!
- Please add my button to your post or blog OR at least link back to this post in your post. That’s all I ask. It’s common courtesy to link back to the person having the party, so that all of your readers can find it too.
- Please do NOT link to an Etsy shop or something similar (even if you think it’s a fabulous deal) or I will delete the link. This party is for sharing thrifty finds from yardsales, thriftstores, or something along those lines. If I see that your post is not really on track with this theme AND you don’t link back, I’ll delete your link. Sorry, but I’d like to keep the party consistent! IF YOU SEE THAT YOUR LINK HAS BEEN DELETED, IT IS PROBABLY BECAUSE IT IS NOT IN LINE WITH THIS PARTY THEME.

Hi Rhoda, Great features and I’m ready for cooler weather too. Not winter, just something below 95 degrees and 90% humidity. Good ol’ Hotlanta!
Have a good week,
Babs

Thank you SO much for noticing my desk! I was scrolling through my ‘reader’ after church today and I thought to myself “that looks like my desk??” Seconds later I realized I was on YOUR blog! I am star-struck. I was trying to explain to my husband how much this meant to me as my eyes filled up with tears. I know I am probably making too big of a deal out of this to some people but to ME this is very exciting! Thank you, thank you!

Hi Rhoda, Thanks for hosting this weekly blog event! I enjoy browsing each week, even though I haven’t found many thrifty treasures to share lately! 🙂
I apologize, but I must have done something wrong when I tried to enter my post the first time (#34). It wouldn’t link back to my blog/post! So I reentered it as #36, and it is working fine! Sorry for the mix-up!

Such fabulous furniture at great prices…made lovely with a little elbow grease…so good for the environment, too. Beautiful soup tureen.

I know what you mean with this stiffling heat in GA….I am already looking for fall to arrive and can’t get here fast enough. I want to find a desk like the one in your feature for my little ones room…that one is to cute! Still love looking at the thrifty finds each week even though I don’t comment.

Great finds…I especially like the shabby chic chair, the soup tureen and those fabulous vintage soda crates. I need to get out to some yard sales this weekend. Thanks for the inspiration!
