Iris's Homemade Baked Apple Turnover

She uses canned biscuits for these and pulls the biscuits apart, separates them out and rolls them out flat in a circle.

Cook down your apples (peeled optional) with a little apple juice, no sugar along with dried cranberries and cinnamon. Once those are done, you are ready to fill the turnovers with freshly cooked apples.

To thicken the apples, mix a little cornstarch water with them so they won't be runny.

Fill the turnovers with plenty of filling (approx. 1 heaping TBL) and fold over and pinch the edges of the circle together. Add egg wash (egg white and water) on top of dough, with extra cinnamon.
