It’s not too early to be thinking about Thanksgiving table setting ideas and gathering our families together for this time honored holiday we all love. Today I’m pulling together a few of my table settings over the almost 15 years I’ve been blogging to share with you some inspiration for setting your own tables. Even though I never host Thanksgiving at my house, it’s fun to set a dinner table. I love seeing a beautiful table setting and keep my table set for the seasons most of the time. I’m also joining a few of my blog friends who will also be sharing their Thanksgiving inspiration with you. Enjoy!
A glass pumpkin takes center stage in the middle of my Thanksgiving tablescape, creating a pretty scene. I used a faux small wreath to nestle the pumpkin on and added a few moss balls and acorns around the base. A large round basket pulls everything together and adds texture to the table.
I love a mix of linens as well and have fun playing around with fabrics and textures. The plaid cloth napkins play well with the floral bird plates and those fall botanical placemats.Dishes are so fun to play around with at this time of year especially for the Thanksgiving celebration.
I love using real fall leaves when I can, but they usually don’t change colors around here until November, so I hardly find them to use when I’m actually writing blog posts. I love these changing leaves in this softly hammered glass vase I’ve had for many years. It’s the perfect color for fall tones. Sprinkle a few leaves around the base for extra interest.
Simple and pretty! I love adding a simple table runner to my table for extra interest without covering all the wood.
I love these brown and white transferware plates and they are perfect for the fall season, as well as the black bamboo flatware.Sometimes I use napkin rings and sometimes I let the napkins be part of the plate settings.
Here’s that glass pumpkin again sitting on a fall wreath this time around the base of the cake stand. I love elevated centerpiece. Candles are a nice addition to any table.
Another easy look for fall. Pinecones, acorns and other natural elements are your friends!
Another view of the sideboard with simple fall turning leaves. There’s nothing better than the beauty of the turning leaves of fall, red, gold and shades of green. But if you don’t have turning leaves, you can also go faux which I also do.
Transferware plates are so classic and pretty, as is silverplate flatware.

These bird plates have been with me for many years and I love putting them out each year during the fall season. Those rich jewel tones just scream fall!
And that’s a few ideas I hope will inspire you with your own table setting. Natural elements and a few pulled together linens can make a beautiful table fit for entertaining family and friends. I hope you all enjoy this upcoming holiday season with every bit of joy for celebrating those precious days! And I hope you got some Thanksgiving table setting ideas for your own tables!
Don’t miss my friends Thanksgiving entertaining as well, I know you’ll love them all!
