Beautiful Beach Cottages in Seagrove

I‘m really not kidding when I say that the Gulf coast beaches in Florida are some of the best in the world.  They really are fantastic and I’ve been to quite a few world-renowned beaches, including St. Thomas, St. John, St. Bart’s, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica.  These will rival them all!

And Seagrove Beach is about our favorite for out of the way and not too busy for us, 2 middle aged folks who just want to enjoy a good vacation with a beautiful view, sun, sea, and sand.  To go along with that, the beach cottages in the area are gorgeous too, so I took time to snap some pics for your enjoyment.

So, enjoy the tour!  The cottages they are building now are just wonderful, much different than the old style Florida houses of yesteryear. IMG_6571

I think it would be a blast to stay in one of these beachside cottages with some other couple friends and just chill out for the week. Doesn’t that sound like fun?

What’s not to love??  Truly beautiful beaches.

Last year, I shared pics of Seaside beach cottages, so if you haven’t seen enough and would like more inspiration, go over and check those out too.  I’ve got one more post from the beach to share next week!

This does remind me of Seaside. I have not been to Seagrove, but I know I would love it.

You are making me wish for the beach. I agree. I have been to lots of beaches in lots of places and would still rather be in Florida–nobody can beat that white sand :)

I have to agree with you – there are no beaches like the Gulf Coast beaches. I am very partial since I was born and raised in Pensacola, just a short drive from Seagrove. Being a military wife, we have traveled all over the world but I have yet to see sand as white as ours. We don’t have those little cottages but we do have some beautiful beach houses, we lost many of the little cottages to Hurricane Ivan several years ago.

How nice it must be to have the beach right outside your door. I don’t swim, but I love the smell of the beach, the feeling of the sand, walking along the edge of the water and finding shells ~ I could live there. : )

Thank you for posting this. I’m a former Bama girl and I grew up going to Seagrove every single year. In fact some of those cottages look familiar. I LOVE that beach and miss my annual trips so much. Thanks for taking me back in time! It truly is one of the most beautiful beaches around!

I love the Gulf Coast & visit every chance I get!

These beach cottages look amazing – can you even imagine how much fun it would be to stay inside one? I have an idea: a Tour of Cottages sounds like a nice afternoon!

Rhoda, These are adorable homes! They have such character. Would that I could stay for a while in one of them. It would be such fun to look out upon the sand and the water and enjoy the company of loved ones and friends….

I have enjoyed your Seagrove pics so much! When my 5 yr. old was 15 mos. old, we went with two other families to Seagrove for 7 whole days and stayed in one of these beautiful cottages that belongs to a friend’s cousin. Not only was it magazine perfect, but it had a pool, too. So, while the adults would relax and get dinner ready, the kids would swim some more. It was WONDERFUL! You’ve taken me back!

We have been going to the Fort Walton, Destin, Panama City area since 1978. Things have changed so much in those years. I remember when Seaside wasn’t even built. It was mostly open beach area between Destin and Panama City. I do love the cottages, although it is becoming too much of a good thing, and the beaches are gorgeous. I love Grayton Beach, but decry the changes taking place. I remember it as an almost untouched beachside town of yesteryear. The state park there has wonderful beaches. You also might want to visit Cape San Blas sometime, wonderful!
