What’s on your toes this year? This friend of mine reminded me last year about an OPI color that I had loved several years ago, but forgot all about….Cajun Shrimp. A perfect corally red that just screams summer. So, last year I ordered it off Ebay and got myself a new bottle.

IMG_4964

And now I’m ready for summer. How about you?

IMG_4967

I’ll never be a foot model. :) But, they do look cute in my Yellow Box flip flops and a fresh coat of Cajun Shrimp.

What’s your favorite color for summer? Do tell.

Essie’s “Wicked”
Actually I wear it all year long. And of course “French” on my fingers.

OPI Watermelon and something by Face Stockholm which I will not divulge because it is a rarity that no one has identical toes to me! Funny you post this though – I just did a post on the launch of the OPI Mediteranean palatte which is not all that wearable but is gorgeous as a color group.

I like that one, and have used it before, although it’s a little orange for my coloring. I choose something deeper red or pink. Yesterday I chose My kind of brown (deep reddish brown) but I’m thinking it’s a little too dark. I will choose something brighter next time.

Like the Cajun Shrimp…may need to grap a bottle for myself! I like a “French”manicure on my toes. Right below the french, I like to glue a row of tiny colored rhinestones. I do this myself because I am VERY low maintance and cheap!!!

Love the Cajun Shrimp as well!

For summer, I love hot pinks or oranges on my toes. Currently, I am wearing OPI’s La Paz-itively Hot on my toes and hands. Typically, I’ll wear OPI Sweetheart on my hands for summer and a bright color on my toes.

Rhoda!! This post made me go look for my Cajun Shrimp. I think I left it at the lake. I love it!

I bought a new one, the other day…not sure if it’s a new color, though. It’s part of the Australia colors, I think. An Aboriginal, something like that. It’s a pinky coral. Very pretty.

This reminds me of a cute story my friend JoAnn told me when we were shopping OPI in Branson. A friend of hers asked her mother what color she was wearing. Her mother replied Peel Here. You know how OPI has those cute names. She actually thought the color was Peel Here. Turn your bottle over and have a look.

Cajun Shrimp has always been a favorite. I met a lady and ask her the color she had on. I have used it for years, but the last time I heard they stopped making it. they may have started back or there maybe some left. They came out with a new color close, but I forget the name.
I love Cajun Shrimp because it even goes with some reds.
Also bought my first pair of yellow box shoes a few weeks ago and I felt like heaven!
Cute feet hehe

My current color is Maya by Zoya, a very pretty pink coral. I previously wore Kara by Zoya which was a more orangey coral. My manicurist has moved away from OPI to Zoya and I really have to tell you the colors look much more updated and fresh. OPI is actually starting to look a little tired I think. A few years ago my all time favorite was Year of the Dragon by OPI. I LOVE summer toes!

My new summer color is Sephora by OPI in High Maintenance. I was looking for something a little orange, but really it is the perfect summer red. Hubby LOVED my toes when he saw them. Sephora has some really pretty OPI colors.

I do love the Cajun Shrimp color – I think I’m going to get a few more colors and have fun with it. If you go to the Sephora OPI page, the first color at the top is a gorgeous teal. Wonder if that is the one a previous commentator mentioned wearing? So pretty, but I’ve never worn anything like that!

Yep, that’s my spring/summer color too for toenails. My fingernails look terrible this year so…and for a Thriftier Find of the same shade, Rimmel’s Tequila Sunrise…I got mine at Walmart I think, but Ulta carries it too. I broke my OPI bottle, so this was a cheap fix until I could get to the salon to get it. Link is just for color.

You have lovely feet. If you were to view mine, you would run. Right now, my toenails are sportin’ chipped OPI polish in Yucatan If U Want. When the moing company rep told me not to pack chemicals of any sort, I listened. I gave my bottle of nail polish remover to my mother. Among my other brilliant moves, was giving her the Goo Gone. I have gone years without needing to use Goo Gone, until it was gone!

Hi Rhoda,
I love OPI’s “I’m not really a Waitress”, which is cheeky enough to wear in the summer, but can be worn all year round if you want. I also love OPI “Dutch Tulips”, since I am after all, Dutch :)
I am a retired Esthetician and found OPI to be the best polish for a longer wear. The other brand I liked was Creative.

A very summery color for sure! My toes are always French – I have a matching complex (thanks to me mother) so doing a neutral allows me to wear any color without matching it to my toes!

I like the C. Shrimp too. My favorite OPI is Grand Canyon Sunset – a great shade of pink, perfect year round. My favorite color for summer is Estee Lauder Juicy Melon – similar to C. Shrimp but has a little more pink in it and a bit of shimmer. I love the name OPI gives to their shades – so fun!

* I'm w/ you! Bright corals/deep shrimps look great w/ a 9-month-a-year tan here in the desert~~~ in the winter I use a deeper, orangey-red… Pinks just don't look that great on ME, altho I do use them when I "must" (LOVE them, but MOST just don't go so well w/ my skin tones)…

Fingers & toes ALWAYS matchy-matchy (yikes!), but if you wear sandals as much as we do here, that "desert dust" can make a French Pedicure go south… FAST!!!

NOW girlfriend, what about our CROWNING GLORIES????

Hugs,
Linda

I wear the french tipped glue on toe nails…..one of my best friends at work introduced me to the glue on ones last summer & I absolutely love them. They look like you stepped out of a pedicure shop but are fast & easy to apply. I get the littlest size I can find..there are usually 3 different sizes in one packet.

Thank you for introducing me to something new! ‘Cajun Shrimp’, hmmmmm! Where do they come up with these names?!? That is a job I’d love to have; naming crayons, paint chips and nail polish! Wouldn’t that be so fun? Right now, mine, *gasp*, have no polish whatsoever. I had surgery yesterday and, of course, they don’t allow you to have anything like that on. No nail polish, lotion, perfume, make-up or even deodorant. That made for one very long and stinky day! ;0) I will definitely be looking for this beautiful color. Oh, and BTW, your toes look beautiful!
