Today I’m sharing an updated tour of one of my blog friends, Lory, so I know you will enjoy seeing her home again. She’s done a lot of updates in the 3 years since I featured her so enjoy the tour.
Happy Friday my friends! Today’s Feature Friday is one of my boomer friends here online, Lory from Designthusiasm. She used to live in a brick traditional home, but a few years ago moved into a town home with very traditional and elegant bones. I think you’ll really love her modern French Country decorating style and if you love tablescapes and flowers, Lori is your girl! She puts together some beautiful styling with tables and fresh flowers that are so pretty to look at. Lori loves a mix of old and new and believes that you can bring beauty and style to your home no matter the size.
Lory has some beautiful furniture and antiques, creating such a warm and welcoming entry.
Her family room feels so cozy and calming with a big white sectional and soft accents.
With her love of modern French Country, Lory’s home flows with old world charm in her living room.
She gave her kitchen a major facelift by painting the cherry cabinets white and I love the result. She did the kitchen in two phases and I’m sharing the latest updates with all new quartz countertops. It looks so fresh and new!
Lory’s kitchen is a great example of updating without tearing everything out. She painted the existing cabinets, added a new backsplash, then did the countertops, faucet, and sink in the next phase. It looks so classic!
A Butler’s pantry creates more storage.
Her stately and spacious dining room looks so pretty. This was updated since the first tour too.
Her powder room got a real update too with wainscoting and it’s gorgeous.
Study with French Country accents.
Breakfast room with wide open windows and views.
Lory hosts many tablescape blog hops and creates some gorgeous tables, always with fresh flowers. I need more fresh flowers in my life! Isn’t this a beautiful table?
Her back entry foyer.
Upstairs landing.
Upstairs are the bedrooms and she has plenty of them.
Master bedroom is so luxurious.
Lori loves to surround herself with beauty so added this bistro table for breakfast in their room.
More fresh flowers.
Lory’s bedroom vanity space by the window.
And new to the tour is her renovated master bathroom, it’s stunning!
It’s a beautifully renovated bathroom using marble and gold accents. So elegant!
Lory has a great eye for design and the details that make a room special.
A masculine guestroom.
Blue and white guest room, so pretty.
A feminine white bedroom.
Family bathroom.
Backyard deck for all seasons.
This outdoor deck space is showing off the fall colors surrounding their home.
What a great space to relax and unwind.
I hope you enjoyed this beautiful tour of Lory’s French Country townhome. She’s done an outstanding job of creating a warm and welcoming home in her own style and colors. Stop on by Designthusiasm and get to know Lory!
Have a great weekend!
Lory’s home is stunning!!
What a feast for the eyes. A nice diversion from the seemingly endless array of white, tan, taupe and beige. I have to confess: this post put me in mind of mother – who would have been over the moon for these pics! Those pink roses, the soft hues, the total package would have been pure bliss for her. Thanks for sharing.
I knew you all would love Lory’s style! So pretty and elegant.
What gorgeousness!! Early into this post, I thought Lori’s home would be a beautiful bed and breakfast. Once I saw the master bedroom, I was ready to make reservations for a weekend! She has such refined taste and creativity. Thanks for sharing!!
A beautiful home! My guest bedroom is the same color as the master and what a great idea having a table set up for two for breakfast. Love all the touches with the fresh flowers and blue and white throughout. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.
Gorgeous!
What a beautiful home. My first thought was, this is a town home? It seems so grand and spacious. The bedrooms are beautiful.
Lauren, Thank you for your kind words! It is in fact a true townhome – the kind that all look alike from the street… 😉 But we were lucky to find a model that is quite spacious – larger in fact than the home we brought our kids up in. (Hoping someday for grand babies… *fingers crossed*). But we also have the advantages that come with townhome living, like not having to worry about shoveling snow! Thank you for visiting with me and for your lovely words!
Breathtaking. Absolutely beautiful.
Rhoda,
Thank you so very much for sharing my home and for your lovely words! You have the most wonderful readers with such kind things to say!! What a pleasure to stop by here and read their delightful comments… 🙂
Have a great weekend!
Lory
Rhoda, I follow Lory’s Blog and Instagram. She has beautiful style and her home is so pretty. Thank you for sharing.
My style
Perfect and so refreshing – how nice to see lovely rooms done in impeccable styling
Instead of boring beige and white totally without personality
Thanks
So glad to see this post. I missed it yesterday and was worried that something had happened to one of your parents. Have a great weekend.
Now this I find gorgeous, positively breathtaking. It brings to mind a toned down Victoria Magazine. I will have to pin the entire home. And make sure my husband gets his seriously manly man cave.
I miss the 90″s when Victoria magazine was in full swing!!!
Now this is the prettiest home I have ever seen on this blog! Simply beautiful!
Loved this! I found her blog last year accidentally, and love her ideas as well as your. I need more fresh flowers in my life too!!! Thanks Rhoda for sharing. I’ll check out your pull out shelves soon. I also have a smallish home and small pantry space. That idea is perfect!!!
What color is your MASTER BEDROOM
everything is so gorgeous……….😊
Hi Lorraine, I’m sure Lory will be happy to answer your questions over on her blog. Go over and visit her!
I also meant to ask what color the, walls, are,in the bathroom???
What a lovely home. It is stunning……and very well done!
I am wondering if you have a before picture of the kitchen. You mention she painted her cherry cabinets. I too have cherry cabinets and am thinking of painting. They turned out so well and from the pictures, you cannot tell she painted them. Would love to see the before if you can post that or send me an email 🙂
HI, Jennifer, here’s a post about Lory’s cabinets, but if you want to see more go over to her blog and do a search for kitchen and you’ll see all her posts. https://designthusiasm.com/painted-cabinets-kitchen-renovation/
Hi!
Lovely home. I don’t know if my husband
would enjoy living with all that FRUFRU
furniture. Everyone has their own style.
Love that Lory has added some color to her home. WHITE & BEIGE is just so boring, and safe.
Our home, has been curated over the
40+years my husband and I have lived here into a warm cozy and well kept home
we love. A well kept home is a happy home. I enjoy very much visiting your home as well
Rhoda💐
Hope your mom & dad are adjusting to
their new living arrangement.
You made a wise decision.
Such a beautiful home!
I thought at one time this home (townhouse) was in Paris!
Thanks for sharing!
