Creating a colorful fall porch with Carpet One’s new Welcome a Cure mat collection was a fun challenge for me to try a new look on my front porch. This post is sponsored by Carpet One.Â
I’ve been using the traditional colors of fall on my porch, with yellow oranges and faux pumpkins, a simple but welcoming look, but with the addition of this pretty Welcome a Cure mat from Carpet one, I added even more color to my porch.
There’s no reason you can’t use opposite colors on the color wheel together and orange and blue do just that in a complementary way.
What I really love about these Welcome a Cure mats is they give back.
Have you been touched by breast cancer? So many people have, including me.
My own sweet mama had breast cancer when she was 67 and had a single mastectomy back then. She did fine after her surgery and she is now 93 years old, so thank goodness for breast cancer research and protocols for cures. I’m so thankful I still have her in my life! Her 3 great granddaughters have the special privilege of knowing her too.
These welcome mats are designed exclusively for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) campaign by Vern Yip, complete with the pink ribbon to help in the prevention and cure for breast cancer.
I’m happy to spread the word about this worthy campaign and you can help too by purchasing a Welcome a Cure Welcome mat. These mats are very well made and sturdy and there are several styles to choose from.
By donating 25% of the purchase price of every mat sold, so far our Welcome A Cure initiative has raised nearly 1 million dollars for a variety of breast cancer research charities, and has funded nearly 10,000 hours of life-saving research through the BCRF. ~ Carpet One
Let me share how I added color to go with my new welcome mat. I love these colors of green and blue which happen to be colors I love to decorate with anyway. I added a blue and white garden stool and a trio of real pumpkins to add some flair to my design.
Stacking pumpkins are so much fun!
This bamboo chair adds some additional texture and the perfect place to set a pillow and throw to add to the welcome ambience of the new welcome mat.
There truly is no place like home. If you are anything like me, home is the most special place to be. We love our homes and they are our haven of rest at the end of the day.
Adding this blue/green plaid ribbon on the golden wreath is a great way to tie in the welcome mat colors with the rest of my front porch additions.
The stripe in the pillow has subtle fall colors as well and ties in perfectly with the rug and plaid ribbons. The rug says welcome to our home, come on in!
Whatever i can do to help breast cancer research, I’m happy to share. Carpet One is doing a wonderful service by offering these Welcome a Cure welcome mats for purchase. It’s nice to know that investing in research produces real results for real families. This research is improving care, producing better outcomes and transforming lives.

What a pretty and welcoming entryway, Rhoda, and a great cause!!
Rhoda, I just found a carpet company here in Canada that I can order one of these carpets from. They are so pretty — and how nice to be able to help such a worthy cause.
I am a breast cancer surviver (1995) and I thank God each and every day for bringing me through this. Life is so fragile and breast cancer has made me so aware that life is truly a gift from God!
Your carpet looks so pretty! Also, I love all the other items you have added! Your front porch is beautiful! Thanks for sharing with us! Your home is so beautiful! You always do such a wonderful job with your decor.
Thanks so much Mary-Ann and thanks for your support!
