There are lots of gift guides going on right now, so I thought I’d put one together, some of my favorite things that I enjoy and some things that I’d like to try out for myself too. And I’m joining a few blog friends today too, who are also sharing their favorite things.
I came up with a few things that I really do love and use, so thought I’d pass them along to all of you. Some are beauty products, hair products and a couple of techy things. Note: I’m adding affiliate links from Amazon, so if you purchase through the links, I get a small commission.

1. Canon 50mm lens.
This little lens really does a great job with close-up pics and blurs the background nicely. Great for portraits and close-up shots! And not expensive, so if you have a Canon DSLR, this one is a great lens to add.
2. Kenra Platinum Silkening Mist Spray.
My hair stylist uses this on my hair and I use it at home too. Kenra has great products and I love this styling spray to give my hair shine and to help protect from heat damage.
3. Shutterball.
This little gadget was given to me in one of my goodie bags from a brand event and it’s the coolest thing ever! I just started using it and it’s so fun to have around. You download the free Shutterball app, then open the app when you want to take a group pic or selfie. It even comes with its own little stand to hold your phone for the pic or you can just prop your phone somewhere. Then just click the Shutterball for an instant selfie! Great little gadget.
I had my girlfriends over last night for a Christmas party and took this pic with the Shutterball. They thought it was cool too!
4. Nars Creamy Concealer
I started using this about a year ago and love it too. I use Custard, since I’m a little yellow toned and it does a great job with under eye circles and stays on all day.
5. Sony Bluetooth Wireless Speaker
My sister and brother-in-law got me one of these for Christmas last year and I’m loving it too. If you have music on your phone or an ipod, this is a great little speaker to carry around. It’s small, but packs a punch in sound. I take it on the porch during the summer and just play my music through it or in my bedroom, it’s great to have for music all around the house. Wireless and small, it picks up the music immediately and stays charged for a long time. The one I have is discontinued, but this one seems comparable.
6. Oliviers and Co. Oil and Vinegar set
I haven’t tried this yet, but have one on the way to sample. Looks like a fun gift idea for the foodies on your list and it’s a sample set of several kinds of oils and vinegars.

7. Nano Thermic Ceramic Brush.
I have a ton of hair and this larger round brush does a great job with drying my hair and pulling out some of the curl and frizz before I flat iron. Great brush!
8. Rusk Flat Iron
I bought one of these earlier this year too and it’s a nice and reasonable flat iron. I actually got the 1”, but I think I’d do the 1 and 1/4” if I buy another one. My stylist uses a 1 and 1/4”. Great flat iron for the money and gets hot enough to straighten even the curliest hair.
So, those are a few of my favorite things! I hope you like them and maybe want to try some of them too. Merry Christmas!
Some of my friends are also doing a favorite things post, so I hope you’ll check all of them out too.
