A Wedding Shower in New Orleans

My sweet niece, Lauren the lawyer, has been dating her beau for going on 2 years now.  She moved down to New Orleans last Memorial Day to get an apartment and a job, so that they could be in the same city.  Philip asked her to marry him on her 28th birthday, last August 31st and the wedding is coming up March 19th.  So our family has a lot to look forward to in the next few weeks.

A wedding is always exciting!

Lauren’s future mother-in-law is having a wedding shower for her this weekend in New Orleans, so my sister and mom came by Birmingham to pick me up and we are enjoying a fun weekend in the Big Easy with Lauren.Lauren and Philip had engagement photos taken and I think they are SO cute.  Philip is also a lawyer, as is his dad in New Orleans.  They met in law school at the University of Georgia. I’m excited for them as they begin their new life together.  Lauren is my only niece and the only grandchild in this family of ours.  So you can imagine what a big deal this wedding will be.  Love this shot of the boots.Good-lookin’ couple they are.Nothing like young love and new beginnings in life.

I wish them all the happiness in the world!

Of course, New Orleans is a great city to shoot some photos and I’ll have my camera working overtime this weekend.

See ya’ll soon!

What a handsome couple! Have an awesome time in Nawlins, and make sure and eat some of that exquisite cuisine. The Palace Cafe’ has awesome andouille crusted fish and pan-roasted oysters! Yum!

Nothin’ better than family, food, fun and The Big Easy!!! We were there last summer and had a ball. Enjoyed the Rock and Bowl where we danced to a 12 piece swing band. Your niece is adorable just like you. Beauty runs in the family (I bet she’s pretty inside, too). You take care Rhoda. I’m praying for you, sweet thing!
