Adding Color To Decor

Does Spring make you crave color, like it does me?  With Spring just around the corner, adding some vibrant summer color to your decor becomes something to look forward to.  I’m sharing a few ways to add color to your decor over at Wayfair today, so I’d love for you to stop over and read my article!

Check out those lime green walls! If that doesn’t liven up a space, I don’t know what does.  I  helped paint on a charity project this week and the designer choose about this same color green for the living room space for the deserving family. I’m hoping to share pics of the finals next week on this fun Dwell with Dignity project that happened here in Atlanta.

These pics from BHG.com all make me smile!  How do you add color to your decor to brighten things up for the Spring and Summer seasons?

  • Pillows
  • Rugs
  • Flowers
  • Wall color

These are a few things that come to mind.  Do you have other ideas to add?  Check out my post at Wayfair for more!

Yay! Color on walls. I get a little tired of the current trend to beige, grey, white. This looks vibrant, lively and fun. The blue is calm serene restful. The sun room looks like a happy place to be. Thanks for the inspiration.

I have been looking for those green check pillows in the first photo for ions. Do you have any idea of a source of where I can purchase them or the fabric manufacturer? Thanks

    Hi Rhoda,
I’ve really been enjoying reading about your Tybee trip and seeing all the great photos ~ you are very talented with your camera! It was almost like a real visit and was so much fun to read about it! 🙂

Love the photo in this post of the blue sitting/living room with the little doggie. That blue color on the wall is gorgeous ~ I think it would look nice to do the ceiling of a sun porch, also.

    Hugs, Bebe 🙂

    Rhoda,
I usually stick to pastels for spring and red, white, and blue for summer. However, after looking at your pictures, I am definitely going to have to incorporate some of that fun lime green into things. Time to shake things up a bit! You have great taste as usual.

I love color, but, I’m afraid to go bright on my walls with the risk of making my not too big living room look smaller. Any suggestions for this?

As we enter into winter weather with over 22 days of sub-zero temperatures, your post was much appreciated! The colors make such a difference and gave me hope for Spring! Lovely piece.

I LOVE the green walls in the first photo with the white mirror and the window treatments! I recently purchased an apple green and white checked tablecloth and have toyed with making pillow covers out of it or covering my dining room chair seats with it. Much cheaper than buying the fabric! Have a great weekend Rhoda!

I love all of the colors you’ve shown here…especially the porch. Off to read your post on Wayfair.
