American Dream Builders and was asked to share this new reality design show with my readers, it was an easy YES. I had already begun to see the previews for this show and knew it would be one that I wanted to tune in for every week.

Hosted by famed interior designer and best-selling author, Nate Berkus, NBC’s AMERICAN DREAM BUILDERS follows the nation’s top 12 designers and home builders as they compete to be crowned the Ultimate Dream Builder and take home a $250,000 cash prize. It’s the home competition that will change everything! I’m a BIG fan of Nate Berkus and his design talents. Back in 2010, I was so fortunate to get to sit in on the Nate Berkus show, back when he started his own design show in NYC and many of us design/home bloggers were in attendance at one of the shows. It was so much fun to see Nate Berkus in person and to experience a live TV show. Nate will be the main host, along with Eddie George and Monica Pedersen. It’s sure to be a fun show to watch and you can bet I’ll be setting my DVR to record every episode. You can check it out on YouTube as well.
Each week, 12 top designers across the country comprising 2 teams, will compete by totally renovating two houses from the inside out, completing the projects in a matter of days. From Tudor to Spanish to Mid-Century modern, the designers are expected to keep the charm and integrity of the homes, while bringing in a fresh new design perspective for the homeowners. Won’t that be fun to watch? I think so!
Week by week, contestants will be eliminated until it’s down to two designers and the final show will be those 2 designers taking on renovations for 2 Southern California homes, in their own unique ways. I really can’t wait to watch this show and am so happy to see Nate Berkus back on TV again. I have always admired his design style and how he is able to transform spaces on a budget and with great style too.I’ll be watching and hope you will too. I was asked to design a Pinterest board with lots of great design inspiration, so I’d love for you to check that out over on Pinterest. I collected some inspiring pics from across the web, rooms that I loved and would be comfortable in. You can also check out the official Pinterest board of American Dream Builders. The show premieres on March 23rd and I’ll be watching!

Don't Miss a Post, join my list!
Thanks for posting about this Rhonda. I’m curious to watch and see how it differs from some whole house redo shows of the past. The fact that Nate Berkus is involved makes it even better!
Oh love that Nate and love the concept of this new show!!! Can’t wait for it to start!!
Haven’t heard much out of Nate in a while. Glad he has a new venue.
I don’t watch much TV but I think this show looks like fun. Thanks for the info!
I love Nate Berkus and miss Monica P from HGTV……I’ll tune in.!
What channel is this on??
I had the same question Karen! I clicked on the link and found out it is on NBC.
Love Nate Berkus! A little surprised to see Eddie George BUT I think he’s full of surprises himself. He has been performing with the Nashville Shakes (Shakespearean theatre group) and is very good!
Thanks for sharing! I’m looking forward to seeing the show!
I hope they design homes for real people – using products that the majority of Americans can afford. No $600 light fixtures!
It’s going to be so much fun to watch!
I love these ideas on Pinterest and look forward to the show. I need them to design a dog friendly house. We’re in Doberman rescue and currently have 6 dogs, 1 cat and 2 peeps. Maybe folding exterior walls, a concrete floor with drains so I just hose the house down! LOL
