I love to take shortcuts on framing whenever I can. I do love the idea of custom framing and have had the opportunity to do that several times along the way, but if I can save money, I’ll do it myself. None of this is mind-blowing stuff, but in case you haven’t thought about how to frame something really inexpensively, let me share my method.
I’ve got some fun DIY framing tips, gallery walls, and much more today on my giveaway page, so click on over for the $50 Target giveaway!
If you want a really big laugh today, go on over to Emily A. Clark, who is such a talented designer, where I’m sharing in her Now and Then series. You can have a huge chuckle over how my living room looked in my old house in Georgia compared to my newer and fresher style in AL (with a LOT less stuff I might add). My online friends who have known me for well over 10 years will remember that red room well. I was so proud of it back then.
Wowza, does that make me cringe! I’m happy to say that looking back has made me realize just how much I’ve grown as a decorator. 🙂

Rhoda…it was great back in the day!! I loved the dark colors and the “cozy” look, filling every corner with something!!! But I too have lightened up and now I fill my rooms with things that really make me happy when I look at them. I must confess I still dream of a “country” vacation home that is a bit more cozy than my everyday home. I guess we all have our dreams!

Congrats on your Knorr win! Your post makes an excellent point. Buy good quality, classic furniture and it will always look good. Keep most accessories to current trends (paint colors, too) and you will always be in style.

Teehee, hee hee, Rhoda that’s funny. I know I would have loved that room 10 years ago, but I’m thinking I really like your room now. Take care.
