Blessed Resurrection Day

May you all have a very Blessed Easter this year (or Resurrection Day, as my hubby loves to call it).  It’s always a time for us, as Christians,  to be grateful for the gift of his Son that God gave to all of us who trust in Him.

Matthew 28:5-7

But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.  He is not here; for He is risen, as He said.  Come see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him.

He is Risen, He is Risen indeed!

This Saturday night, we are participating in a Messianic Jewish Seder, which I’m very much looking forward to.

Enjoy the seder…I have worshiped at a Messianic Jewish congregation and it is so interesting, for lack of a better word. I almost think it must be somewhat what it was like to be a first century Christian, still a Jew, but adding Jesus to the mix. It seems like many experiences all wrapped into one….bringing in the ark, wearing prayer shawls, reciting traditional Jewish prayers with a little bit of a Baptist altar call at the end! Happy Easter!

    Hi Rhoda,
Your Easter weekend will be a deeper experience with the Seder on Saturday night… our church was led in one several years ago, and yes, it does really help you go back in time to how it must have been in Jesus’ day. I too, have been blessed to get to know you, and enjoy your postings here, and still can’t wait to meet you in person – hopefully before too much longer!

Happy Easter Rhonda!! I think that is so neat that you will be participating in a Sedar. I was just saying to my friend today that I would like to experience a Jewish Sedar.

I’ve always wanted to attend/host a messianic seder – and really should have gotten that going when I lived in Highland Park, IL surrounded by Jews! Not so easy to get the things I’d need/want here in rural Kansas!
