Boxwoods Gardens: Ready for Spring

You all sure know how to make a girl feel good!!  Thanks so much for taking the time to congratulate me on the new/old house.  Y’all always come out in droves for good news (and even bad) and I sure appreciate the thoughts.  I’m excited to share the journey!

While I’m relaxing at the beach this week, I’ll share a few of my outings that I haven’t had time to share yet.  Enjoy!

Back at Boxwoods Gardens, the outdoor area and live plants are so inspiring for Spring as well.  We loved seeing the inside of this beautiful shop, but outside is equally pretty.  I’m sure it even gets better as Spring and Summer arrive.  My friend, Maureen, and I were there on a drizzly day, but it was still pretty.

049

Lots of plants to choose from outdoors.

052

If you’re looking for unique pots and containers, there are plenty of those to choose from.

053

Love the color of this one.

055

A few bunnies are evident too and you know I love those.

057

Some unique pillows.

059

Getting ready for Easter.

061

Lots of live orchids in their greenhouse area too.  Love these, but after killing one that cost $25 in Birmingham, I’m probably not going to try another one.

062

There is something about blooms in Spring that just uplifts the soul.

063

If you’re looking for dish gardens, they have plenty to choose from.  Great for a gift idea!

064

Gorgeous and unique.

072

More orchids and aren’t they beautiful?

073

Ivy topiary with cute birds and nest.

074

Orchids and hydrangeas are a beautiful thing.

123

When pigs fly!

128

Pretty boxwood balls.

181

Now let’s go outdoors.

184

Pretty red berries

188

Birdhouses, I love these too.

192

Pretty plant upclose.  Not sure what this is, but I love how textural it is.

hydrangeas

Those beautiful hydrangeas.

196

Statues

198

Pretty vine arbor.

204

Oyster shell birdbath, how pretty is this?

bunny topiary

This bunny made me smile, love him!

Living wreath

Real wreaths.

twigs with water drops

Red twiggy tree with drops of water.

outdoor birdhouses

Plenty of birdhouses.

stargazer lilies

Stargazer lilies, I love these too.

Hopefully next year, I’ll get outdoors and dig in the dirt again in my new house and I can’t wait for that either. There’s something calming and soothing about planting flowers and watching them grow.

Are you digging in the dirt yet?  What are your favorite flowers to plant outside?

For me:  Endless Summer hydrangeas, Limelight hydrangeas, Knock-out roses, Stargazer lilies, Lenton Roses

I read about your house, how exciting. The floorplan looks really workable, so that is a super plus. The exterior is going to be fabulous when you get some landscaping all done and I can’t wait to see how you transform the inside. It will be stunning I am sure. Love this post and I totally adore that flying pig. Way tooooooo cute. Hugs, Marty

Love the pictures. We spent two days going to various nurseries and I enjoyed every minute of it! Our new/old house didn’t have any flowers of any type so we have started the purchasing and planting. woo hoo I can hardly wait to see them flower. I feel like I am sitting on a nest waiting for the eggs to hatch. lol

Start your garden with Tara’s Trinity of The Southern Garden: Azaleas, Camellias, Hydrangeas.

You will never be a day without blooms, all year.

Love Boxwoods. My dentist is nearby & I always go to Boxwoods & then lunch at Souper Jenny.

Garden & Be Well, XO Tara

I hope you have a wonderful time on your vacation!

LOVE.that.bunny.pillow ~ I want one of those pillows SO bad! I’ve never been able to find one for a reasonable price. I don’t mind spending a little extra on an accessories every now & then… but, most of these seem to run well over $150: if you ever find one while you’re out thrifting – please buy it for me. I would be thrilled to pay you a finders fee & shipping!!

Had so much fun that day, as always. It’s my favorite gardeny/decor shop. We’ll have to gtg again soon and explore another shop. Enjoy your time at the beach. We just got back from Cabo, and I miss the beach already!

I love boxwoods; my lilacs are already starting to bloom and I’m dying for a pussy willow plant for my backyard. I think that’s my goal this spring, to find a great pussy willow plant to compliment my lilac bush.

By the way, watched the Matthew Mead video; so much inspiration! I really love the old muffin tin ideas and I’m glad to see so many of my home decor/design bloggers involved.
