If you haven’t discovered Nadeau yet, a fun furniture importer, I think you’ll enjoy this little shopping journey. I first found them in Birmingham and then found out there is one in my town of Marietta and they have many stores all over the country. So, you just might have one near you too. They import from India and Indonesia and have some great looking things. It’s not as frugal as finding 2nd hand pieces and redoing them yourself, but if you’re not up for painting and redoing things, this might be the shop for you.
Here’s the outside of the Marietta store on Johnson Ferry Rd.
Walk inside and there are plenty of goodies to check out.
The furniture is imported from India and Indonsia, looks old, but is not. They do a nice job with painted pieces.
Accessories are around too.
Cupboards and armoires in all sorts of colors.
Price on that shuttered cabinet above. Prices are reasonable, but not cheap.
I did love this turquoise painted bookcase, can’t remember how much it was.
This sawhorse coffee table was neat.
Lots of mirrors.
Lots to choose from.
It’s a pretty big store with all wood furniture. Some is stained and many pieces are painted.
More accessories.
Two toned cabinet.
Plenty of distressing.
Lots, lots, lots!
Red painted buffet.
Loved this little side table.
How cool is this painted piece with multi-colored drawers?
At this price, I can see some DIYer’s jumping on this project.
It’s definitely worth checking out Nadeau.
Fun painted turquoise coffee table.
Another rustic piece.
So, what do you think? Will you be looking up Nadeau for yourself?
I checked out their brochure and here’s where you can find Nadeau. Is there one in your neck of the woods??

This made me laugh! I’ve passed Homewood’s Nadeau a gazillion times and ‘wondered’ but never stopped…leave it to a blog to make it a destination 🙂 Thanks for photos–I really do not need more furniture–just inspiration and courage to paint! And, ta-da! your blog delivered both.
Love their mirrors and that beautiful blue bookcase. So glad there is one in Chicago!

I MISS Nadeau! We used to have a wholesale warehouse version in a sketchy building here in Boston years ago, before they launched all their retail outlets…I tried to keep them in business, but alas, I was unsuccessful 🙁
Will definitely have to visit their store next time I am in the area…they definitely have great things…thanks for presenting this!
No telling how many times I have driven past the one in Homewood. I even passed by it Monday but never really knew what they had inside. It looks like a fun place to furniture shop. I might have to venture in there sometime!
oh my gosh- they have one here in Houston. Im going to have to check that out! thanks for sharing this.
That looks like a fabulous store to shop, browse and get great ideas. I have a close relative that lives in your town so I want to go shop there very soon. By the way, thanks so much for commenting on my blog. That was a pleasant surprise and much appreciated.——– Shannon
My maiden name is Nadeau…I am laughing, why would a Frenchman import from any place but France! They do have so really nice non-French furniture pieces, though. I really like the aqua pieces, especially the bookcase.
I bought my coffee table from the Nadeau in Homewood. I really like it. The store here is not nearly as big as the one you featured…but it is still a lot of fun to go to. From what I remember, the furniture is stacked and the space is pretty tight. But that all adds to the adventure and the victory when you find just the right piece. :o)
I may need to check out the Chicago store. Just hope it’s not on Michigan Avenue because parking down there costs an arm and a leg …
The prices are a bit steep for me these days, but just love all the inspiration you shared!
🙂

Okay, now I’m going to be a serious dork! I looked them up and they are right around the corner from my house …
… and here’s the dorky part …
… I got so excited that I had to come back here and leave a comment about it!
🙂
Linda @ i’m a serious dork
Hey Rhoda! I live off Johnson Ferry Rd. and have driven by this place a thousand times. I’ve never stopped in but will definitely check it out! Have you been to Casabella on Roswell Road? It’s next Hancock fabrics up the street from the Avenue. Oh dear! They have GORGEOUS things and I could spend hours in there. It’s definitely too pricey for me, but it’s a fun place to “just look.”
Will have to check out this store…and while it is pricey, it is a great place to get ideas for decorating!
HOT tamale…there are none around me, but it looks AWESOME…what a fun store!
I have passed the store in Marietta so many times and never stopped- I’ll have to check it out! Jen from Frazzled Mom of Five is in the ATL area also and we were thinking of doing a bloggy girls night out- would you be interested in joining us?
Wow, thanks for sharing this! I’m definitely going to check out the Nashville store soon, it looks like they have some great rustic pieces!
Love this store! Always something interesting and the prices are pretty reasonable when you consider what new furniture costs. I always go to the West Hollywood store in Los Angeles.
I just came home to San Francisco from Marietta today to find this post! Too bad I missed this amazing shop. Next time I’m out there I will definitely check it out.
