In spite of the snowy weather and some ice on the roads, my sister and I managed to make it down to the Gift Market, which was going on all weekend at the Atlanta Americasmart. We did wait until later in the morning, since the temps had dropped to about 13 degrees and everything was pretty much frozen solid on the side roads. By the time we ventured out, the interstates were fine and we didn’t have any problems getting around. We only had 4 hours or so, but managed to get in quite a bit of browsing. That place will wear you out, walking, walking, and more walking.
I snapped a few shots coming down the hallways and vendors have set up window displays for their wares. This was a Christopher Radko Christmas ornament display that was just beautiful.
More inspiration and lovely vignettes.
Loved the bright colors in this vendor’s window display and we did pass this shop too, which was full of colorful pieces.
Lots of beautiful pottery.
We made sure to stop by Bobo’s Intriguing Objects to see the brickmaker’s coffee table that Brooke from Velvet and Linen gave away awhile ago. Click on the link to see the 3 winners of her giveaway and how they used the table in their homes. It was a fun contest! I had sent my sister a picture of it and she fell in love with it, since she is looking for a coffee table for her familyroom.
And we got to see the brickmaker’s table in person (actually this one is a little different version with the x base). It’s a gorgeous piece, but I think it’s too big for her space, so she will look for something similar, but smaller. We loved it though, as well as everything in this shop.
This mirror really caught my eye too.
The whole space was just gorgeous and I loved all the rustic things. If I had a boatload of money, I’d be buying one of each. 🙂
More of the same space and there were some really unique pieces in Bobo’s.
I just snapped some random photos going down the hallways and peeking into some of the shops. Loved this huge clock.
Table wares.
Moss pots and topiaries were really popular, we saw. Loved these.
How about a rustic twig chandy?
Pretty rustic sink display too.
Cute twin bed displayed so prettily.
I found a really neat store and may be able to use them for my new online shop with the Open Sky Project, that I mentioned to you last week. I’m hoping to get it up and going this week. I’d love to add some mercury glass pieces to the shop.
Aren’t these beautiful??
I loved this mirror too.
As well as all of these pretty things.
Totally fell in love this this huge double door/mirror. The mirror looks really old (might not be, but looks it) and I think this is made out of reclaimed wood. It was gorgeous! I know just where I’d put this.
Lime green pottery caught my eye.
And my sister and I thought these lighted floral stems were really unique, with feathers and lights, really cute for a party.
More pretty pottery.
We visited the Uttermost shop and it is huge. They have a lot of mirrors and home accessories. Really nice things in here.
This was Uttermost also. Before leaving for the day, we hit the area where there were lots of jewelry vendors. I saw women scrambling around looking at all these loose charms and carrying around trays of pretty baubles. After looking a few minutes, I finally got the scoop. They sell chains and you can pick out all the charms and baubles that you want to put on them and then they will do it for you, right then and there. Too cute!
So, I picked these cute charms out…
And made an adorable necklace. Have you seen any of these before? This was all new to me, but of course, this trend may have been around for awhile and I’m just now seeing it. You should have seen all the blingy charms and baubles they had to choose from. Totally cute stuff! Not dirt cheap, but not too bad either, most charms were priced from $5 to $15. My entire necklace priced out at $43. This will be a fun new accent piece for me. And if you decide you want to shop, she has an online shop called Art by Amy, so go and take a look. You can see all the chains and charms online.
So, that was our excursion into the Atlanta Gift Mart. I really would love to go back and shop. Who knows, I might have some local clients to shop for one of these days and it would be nice to have some fun new vendors at my fingertips. And I have that online shop that I mentioned opening really soon and I hope to be adding some great items in there too.
Good luck with your shop! Don’t you just love exploring the Mart? Years ago I used to work during the shows just to get to meet people enjoy shopping. Haven’t been in a while but enjoyed your photo tour.
Good luck. You have some lovely pictures. I have not been to the mart in years! I do remember needing comfortable shoes when I would vist. I am loving your blog.
Please add some of that mercury glass to your shop. It’s so gorgeous and a great price too. I have su ch a hard time finding nice pieces on this little island we live on. I generally shop for stuff in the US and have it sent to my mother in law who then very kindly ships it to me.
Lovely shops!!!!Your blog is just wonderful,i enjoy visiting everyday,i love all your yard sale finds!!You find the best stuff……….Kathy
ooooh… some really great stuff there.
Sounds like a fun trip, Rhoda.
Our friends, Lori and Greg of All About Home, were in Atlanta last week. Can’t wait to see what Lori ordered at Market.
I love that cream colored/weathered arched mirror…the one that caught your eye! Fabulous! I don’t know what I would do with it….but I bet I could figure something out, pretty quick!
We’re on our way to the lake for a few days. I’ll be back here later, today, for a closer look and also want to check about your shop. I missed that, somehow or other.
What FUN !! I love all of the eye candy … the pottery, mirrors, the twig chandie … all of it !! LOVE your new “bling,” too … it reminds me a lot of the Brighton charms that you can attack to necklaces or bracelets. I look forward to touring your new online shop. Becca
OOPS, make that “attach” (not attack – LOL), to necklaces and bracelets.
Thanks for the tour! I am loving all the rustic stripped wood I am seeing lately. A total turn around from from glossy and formal.
Looks like the kind of place I could do some serious damage to my bank acount. 🙂 Good luck with your shop!
Beautiful pictures…I have shopping envy now. Love the mercury glass and the candlesticks…the blue and white bedding is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
That is suppose to be “account” – coffee has not kicked in yet this morning. 🙂
Oh I love the Atlanta Mkt! I have a friend who went every year when she had her business and it’s just like the Disney World of “stuff” !!!
by the way, you picked some great charms!
WOW!!! Sooooo many pretties! I am so envious that you got to shop at such a fabulous place….we have nothing like that around here. In fact one of the ladies who owns a shop here went there to shop!! LOL

Hurry up and get that shop open, Girlfriend! I may not have a job right now, but I have a little $$$ to burn, and I LOVE mercury glass and just about everything else. Sometimes I wonder what I don’t love! I could use that reclaimed wood/glass piece too! Do they have any more?
So many beautiful things – sensory overload! I loved the green pottery and the charms. I will check out the online charm shop. Thanks, and as always, your photos are wonderful!!
Great photos of the Gift Market! Did you notice any continuing trends relative to your post last week? I’m wondering about black painted furniture as I am about to paint my wood breakfast room table and chairs and don’t want a too soon dated look. Love the charms!
Thanks for the tour. For several years I’ve received invitations to attend this show but since I live only 11 hours away, well, it didn’t work out for me to come….:) so the pictures were nice.
Hi Rhoda, thank you for sharing so much eye candy. I loved the angel wings on the stands. I would love one for Christmas time. You really picked some great baubles for you charm bracelet an what a great price. Love the R,you know me and letters, we are kindred spirits. I posted an interesting test on my blog today I think you might enjoy it. Hugs Kathysue
This looks like an awesome show. Do you have to have a vendor license to attend? I just love the first shop and the aged pottery. I am sure I would probably love everything, that would be the problem 😉
Thanks for sharing!
HI, girls, I’m glad you all enjoyed seeing pics from the ATL market.
Janet, I still see plenty of painted furniture out there (black included), so I think you’ll be safe painting your table & chairs. That one seems to be lasting a long time. And really, I hope it becomes a classic & stays around.
And yes, you do have to have a business license to get in these shows & since I do have my own business, I can now go in there. I hope one day to buy in there and not just look.
