Cabbages & Roses Book Review & Giveaway

{Giveaway is Closed}

I sure hope you all are not tired of book giveaways yet.  I seem to be getting lots of good ones.  To be honest, I really had no idea about the popularity of Cabbages and Roses or Christina Strutt, for that matter.  But, when I was sent an email to ask if I wanted to receive a copy of  her new book, At Home with Country, for myself  to keep and review and a giveaway to one of my readers, I just knew it would be a good fit with all of you too.

Cabbages and Roses is a brand all about home, clothes and fabric.  Take a look at the website and see for yourself.  Did you know about Cabbages and Roses? They even have a blog!   I must have been living under a cabbage leaf, because I certainly did not.  I’m happy to be enlightened.  🙂

I mean, take a look at that cover!  How could that not draw you in? It’s a beautiful book, chock full of inspiring pics with that English country feel:  cozy, calm, and serene.Featuring residences in both the US and the UK, Christina tackles industrial, cosmopolitan, cottage and urban spaces finding unique ways to infuse country and rustic English style and her romantic products into the interior and exterior design. More than makeovers, the book features Cabbages & Roses style of fusing old and new together to create décor that evokes warmth, sophistication and emotion, with defining prints and luscious signature products.

From rural retreats to English manor houses, from New York city apartments to enchanting Cape Cod beachside homes sumptuous photography captures the charm that English Country styling creates.  April 2010 marks the brand’s 10th Anniversary and, to honor this milestone, At Home with Country will be released transcontinentally throughout both Europe (April) and North
America (March).

Christina Strutt began developing Cabbages & Roses in a barn in Somerset, and in the past ten years, has guided the growth of the brand from a small mail order company into a versatile and highly recognizable lifestyle brand with a globally expanding business. Prior to Cabbages and Roses, Christina was a stylist in the US and the UK, as well as for international editions of Vogue, Victoria, Interiors and other publications. Her previous books include A Guide to Green Housekeeping (CICO), Romantic Home Sewing (Potter Craft), and Decorating Vintage Style (Hearst/Sterling).So, if you’d LOVE to win a copy of this book for yourself and I can’t imagine anyone who would not want this book on your personal library shelf, just leave a comment and tell me if you already knew about Cabbages and Roses?  I would love to hear how many were aware of the brand or the books. I’ll draw a name via Random.org on Monday evening.

Someone asked me if those without blogs are eligible to win giveaways and YES, absolutely!!  Everyone who signs up, with or without a blog can win any of my giveaways.  Random.org does the choosing, not me!

And, if any of you live in the NYC area, Christina will be signing books next Thursday, May 20th so you just may want to show up and meet her.

Don’t forget to leave a comment for the book giveaway!!

    The now extinct Country Home Magazine (boo hoo) featured Christina’s home in their very last magazine that they put out. That’s where I first heard about her and Cabbage’s and Roses. I love her home and her style, and I would love to have this book!
