It’s Christmas around here and I’m excited to welcome you in to share in our Holiday decor and cheer! It’s my 13th Christmas in blogland which is so hard to believe!
I’m joining Marty with A Stroll Thru Life today for her annual Christmas blog hop so you will not want to miss all the ladies on this tour. It’s going all week long and today is the kickoff.
If you’re stopping by from Anita and Far Above Rubies, I know you loved her colorful and rustic home in the mountains. There’s so much inspiration to see!
Welcome to our home! Mark and I have been in our house for over 2 years now and this is our 3rd Christmas in this home. We absolutely love it and have completed a lot of upgrades over the time we’ve lived here, making this house our own. It was a beige box just waiting for our touches.
I always add garland to the top of the railings and it makes the house feel so festive and fun. The sparkle of the lights really lights up the nights around here and there’s nothing better than Christmas lights, candlelight and a fire in the fireplace to really get the mood going.
These bells have been with me for about 3 years and I love them. I’ll link a few things from my home if you’re interested in browsing.
Sparkly mercury glass ornaments really make a statement hanging from the garland.
I’ve had these sparkly gold grapevine stars over 20 years.
Our foyer table is my play area and I love changing it out for each season. Christmas is always a favorite time to bring out some treasured things to adorn it.
This sign says it all and more mercury glass adds that special touch for the Holiday season.
I find things all over and these mercury glass trees are a new find from Homegoods this year. By contrast, those gold brass deer are Goodwill finds a couple of years ago. All are treasures in my book, no matter where they were found!
I dearly love cloches and adding snow scenes and little people underneath adds another festive touch.
Just like a Hallmark movie!
I’ve got several pieces of mercury glass and piling them in a dough bowl is a good way to display them with a few added cedar clippings.
Those battery twinkle lights are pretty cute too at night.
Now we’ll go into the family room, the hub of our home.
This is where we enjoy the fire and twinkling lights at night.
It’s cozy and comfy for the two of us to hang out.
I usually turn the lights on and leave them all day, but it really comes alive at night with a fire glowing.
This is a collection of my favorite things, from mercury glass to those popular white houses from Target that so many of us have. adding lights just brings it to life. I loved adding those old shutters this year, it really frames the Merry Christmas sign and I found those little wreaths at the Country Living fair this year. Battery wax candles are the finishing touch.
It’s nostalgic, sparkly, and feels like Christmas on the mantel.
Those lanterns are from Pottery Barn and they have twinkle lights inside too.
And that’s our foyer and family room this year, so I hope you enjoyed the tour. I’ve got the kitchen and Christmas tree to share later this week, so please come back and see if all! It’s the most wonderful time of the year and we all need to celebrate the way that makes us happiest!
Don’t miss the rest of the ladies on this tour today and next on the tour is Tammy from Pink Peppermint Design. She always does a fantastic job with her Christmas decor and I know you’ll love it!
