{Giveaway is Closed}

The winner is:  #94, Lisa Appell!  Congrats, Lisa!

Some things come in small packages and that is the case with a brand new book!

Country Living Little Book of Big Decorating Ideas

I love getting the chance to review these décor books up close and personal and this one is so tiny and cute.  A little square book packed with decorating ideas!  What fun.

The tag line is 287 clever tips, tricks and solutions and they are right.  Each page is numbered with a great idea for decorating, from quirky, to found objects and recyling, there’s an idea for every design enthusiast.

Country Living Big decorating ideas

It’s tiny and square, about 6” square.  From the editors of Country Living, one of our fave magazines, you’ll find tips on hundreds of ideas to tap into your home’s full potential.

Country Living book 2

Pages 68 and 69:  Bathroom ideas and fireplace plans.

Country Living 3

Pages 99 and 100: Birdcages and quirky clothes pins.

Country Living 4

Pages 117 and 118:  Painted stairs and upholstery ideas.

Country Living 5

Pages 216 and 217:  Color ideas for the living room and bedroom.

Country Living 6

Pages 240 and 241:  Framed art and gallery walls.

Country Living 7

And the outdoor areas even got in the book, Pages 230 and 231:  Outdoor planting and fence ideas.

It really is packed with some great pics and you’ll enjoy thumbing through this one. I love adding great décor books to my growing collection for those times that I just want to unplug and sit on the porch with a pretty book in hand.  I don’t always want to be in front of my computer, do you? Winking smile

ONE very lucky reader is also going to get a chance to add Country Living’s Little Book of BIG Decorating Ideas to your collection too!  All you have to do is leave a comment telling me why you love décor books and how much you’ll enjoy this one.

I’ll pick a random winner in a few days!  That’s it!

    Hi Rhoda,
Decorating books, HGTV and blogs such as yours have been my teachers. I can’t get enough eye candy from books and this one is one of those that I would really love to have and put into practice a few ideas.

Being from Alabama, I love Country Living. Flipping thru the pages makes me feel at home. I love stacking colorful hardback decorating books and magazines on my coffee table. It adds an unexpected splash of color and character. Thanks!! 🙂

I would love this little book because I just built a new house in Georgia (yes, I am a single female) and my décor is what my daughter calls “Fancy Farmhouse”. This would truly help me decorate and not break the bank.

I love Country Living magazine, long time subscriber and I am certain this little book is full of amazing ideas…how clever to make it little..I could look thru it when in the car with hubby driving so I don’t have to apply my brakes (feet on the dashboard) while he is driving…great distraction! Books are such a treasure, especially decor books with drool worthy pictures….
By the way, totally off topic but I just finished my pancake breakfast using your wonderful recipe…I think I’ve made them every day this week,,so filling and healthy…gotta love that..I’m going to add the recipe to my Pinterest board….
Thanks for such a great blog full of wonderful tips and stories…
    A Texas fan!

I love decorating books for many reasons: Inspiration, instruction & photography to name a few. They’re a great way to spend a little down time with a cup of tea, and oh, if I have a little more time it can feel like a mini vacation! Our home is always evolving and I have relied on CL my whole adult life to help me translate my eclectic style and hodgepodge of skills in a warm and welcoming nest for our family of 7.
