Cozy is a feeling as well as a tangible state of being, so today I’m sharing some ideas on how we can transition our homes into cozy retreats during the next couple of months of Winter weather. Here in the South, we get an early reprieve and Spring starts happening by March, but what about those after Christmas days? Here are some great ideas from fellow bloggers on how they add cozy vibes in their homes to stave off the Winter blues.
I’ll also share a couple of areas of my home that I’ve added some cozy Winter vibes. Have you added cozy in your home yet? I’m just finishing up taking down Christmas this weekend and I’ve kept a little Winter decor up for some cozy vibes around the house.
I decided to keep my Christmas mantel the same and I took down the sparkle garland that was up as well as the Merry Christmas sign and added this Thankful sign that I got a few years ago (from Between You and Me Signs). This seems to be a good look and feel for now and I love this sentiment. So that’s the mantel and I also changed out the foyer table for Winter.
I decided to add in this bamboo chair that I bought years ago at a yardsale. It’s a lighter feel and I really like it. I kept the deer and candle on the bottom and got some magnolia sprays to add in this old white urn and I love the simple feel of this.
I love mercury glass and Lauren gave me a 6 piece set from Pottery Barn (affiliate link) for Christmas and they are perfect for this time of year. I had a few already and these are all so pretty together. Those tall mercury glass candle holders came from my trip to Milledgeville last month. I love them!
Simple feel for the Winter season.

Lovely design inspiration. Some of the best I have seen. Also have to love that little bamboo chair. ….After looking for about a year for a small dining table with chairs we were able to find an entire set of that same thing at an estate sale. Our dining room is so small we can only use two of the chairs however. It looks great how you have incorporated it into your home.

Rhoda, for some reason I’m not receiving your daily posts. This is the last one to come to my in box. I have no idea why this has happened.
Rhoda says
HI, Nancy, I just checked and you are definitely subscribed, so I’m not sure why you didn’t get the latest ones. Can you check your spam folder and make sure they didn’t go there? I send out 5 emails a week normally.

I love that you leave your garland up. I have a frosty pine faux garland that will stay lit on my mantel throughout the winter. Like you, I just a lot of candles and mixed-metal candle holders. In my opinion, our dark winters scream for lights, candles and a bit of shiny.
Happy New Year.
