I’ve met some of the most fascinating and accomplished women during my years of blogging and Sharon Hines is one of them. She’s a former teacher and does a great job of teaching and inspiring on her blog, Mrs. Hines Class. She’s recently written a book called Creating Success at Home and today I’m sharing a little snippet of the book and introducing you to Sharon. She’s a sweetheart of a lady, mom and mother and I think her thoughts and the way she’s written this book will speak to many of you who want to create a nurturing and beautiful home.
From Sharon:
There are many design principes and schools of thought out there, but the only design element you need is love. Because when you love your home, it is given the ability to love you back. Rhoda and her home has been a perfect example of this. She has taken a ’70s fixer upper and transformed it into a home that nourishes her soul, nurtures her gifts and accommodates her lifestyle. That to me, is creating success at home and one of the reasons I’m so excited to have Rhoda join me on this book tour today.
If you need help with organizing, decluttering, time management and overcoming decorating fears, you’ll really enjoy Sharon’s book. She’s got a great “voice” and is a talented writer, speaking to women’s hearts about home matters. I wanted to share Sharon’s words, so that you can get an idea of her heart and who she is. She speaks of her closeness to family and how much that has impacted her life, much the same way I see my own family……
We’re close; we love each other and enjoy each other’s company. And, as I’ve grown older, my appreciation for my family, for my upbringing, for my parent’s hard work and devotion to us, deepens.
If it weren’t for what was modeled for me, I might not have had the strength I need to keep a strong marriage and provide a nurturing environment for my little family of 3.
Creating Success At Home is the result of all of that…of knowing the difference that a strong foundation makes when life gets hard and what a comfort it is even when the going is good.
Creating Success At Home is my heart on paper. It is my ministry. I consider it a success already simply for having written it. That said, I do hope the book touches the lives of anyone who needs it.

I have always said that working in my home for my family is not hard because that is how I love my family. I love to “love” on my home by cleaning it and decorating it. I try to give it attention every day. If I don’t it soon shows neglect. The book sounds intriguing and I cannot wait to read it,
