Crocs and Yellow Box

Wanna see two of my favorite pairs of new shoes? While attending Blissdom 09 in February, we were all treated to $50 gift certificates to spend online at Crocs (courtesy of Crocs, one of the sponsors) and I chose this yummy pair of leopard print slingbacks called Malindi. They were a little late getting out, but I finally got them in recently and I have to say, they are going to be my go-to Saturday shoes for be-bopping around. Comfortable?! Oh my gosh, yes they are. I have dissed Crocs before for being SO butt-ugly (sorry Crocs, but that’s the way I saw ‘em), but these are actually cute and I’ve gotten several compliments on them already.

See?!

And after seeing every woman in Birmingham with a pair of these Yellow Box flip-flops, I just had to invest in a pair. They are oh-so-comfortable too and I’m sure before long, I’ll have about 3 more pair in many more colors. They come in a rainbow of hues. Got them on sale at Belk for $19.99 and used a 10% off coupon, so they weren’t too bad. And from what I hear, they wear like iron. Can’t beat black and white polka-dots for summer!

Do you have Yellow Box flip-flops and do you love them?

I’ve got a special blog guest coming by tomorrow and she’ll be sharing a beautiful room with all of you, so come back for that. I think you’ll really enjoy it!

Today is April 15th…the dreaded Tax Day. Hubby and I are going to attend our local Tea Party this evening, are you going in YOUR city?? I might even blog about it!

The HP Wireless Printer giveaway is over and the winner has been announced. Is it you?? Go and take a look HERE.

I discovered Yellow Box last summer, and have two new pair already for this year. Black and white like yours, and a metallic bronze and gold sequin! Love them….and they do wear well!

I love your new Crocs! I used my $50 to get some flip-flops. Then the ones I requested weren’t in stock, so they sent me a different pair in bright pink that I’m not really crazy about. Also, they make so much noise when I walk in them–it sounds like I’m walking on plastic grocery bags. Very strange.

Now I’m wishing I had ordered the same ones you did!

I have some croc sandals that are really cute and strappy. I got them at Macy’s. They’re super comfortable too.

I love your blog — this is the first time I have left a comment! I wanted to let you know a GREAT way to “dress up” the flipflops! Find the LARGE covered buttons at a sewing/notions store, get coordinated fabric and have it monogrammed and then cover the button. Then, use HEAVY DUTY VELCRO and put it on the leather in the middle. I bought some Eliza B’s a few years ago and paid $80 for them and the girl had just done this with the buttons! It really dresses them up and people will STOP YOU ON THE STREET to ask about them!

Two things … yes, I love Yellow Box! I have several pairs and they are wonderful! Last summer when I was pregnant, it was all I wore. Second, I live in Bham — what is the tea party? Details, please!? 🙂

I used to think crocs were soooo ugly too. Then I borrowed a pair of my daughter’s that look like MaryJanes. They are so comfortable and I would like to have a pair like your leopard print ones. I will be on the prowl for a pair.

Crocs are my favs after a long trail run! They are the most comfy shoes around, but I agree with your description of them!!! I will have to search for a pair of animal print ones! Cute!

Your cute new Crocs have me rethinking those shoes. I wear the ugly ones for gardening only.

Well these might be crocs I could love! I love the flipflops too. I usually by LL Bean flipflops, but these are so cute. I’ll have to see if I can find some. I live in sandals or flipflops from the end of March to December!

I hope you blog about the tea party. I would love to hear about it from someone I know! We are working in yard and on porch today. The nearest tea party I know about is in STL and that is about a 50 mile drive for us. So I’m depending on hearing about it from others!
