Another fun giveaway today for all of you.  How about your very own custom cornice board?

Do you have a window that could use a little sprucing up?  How about clicking over to my giveaway page for all the details!

Be Sure to click to the giveaway page to leave your comment to be eligible to win!

Before you head over, let me tell you this!

My longtime friend, Pat, from Back Porch Musings just lost her blog on Blogger this week.  She has tried to find out what is going on, but no luck yet.  In the meantime, she has started a new Back Porch Musings on Typepad and hopes to get her entire blog moved to another location soon.  Please go and visit her at the new blog!  She can’t even get into her old one right now and it’s going to another site named the same as her blog, so no one can even see the old blog.  Crazy!!

Hi Rhoda, What a great friend you are to relay this info. I love reading Pat’s blog, too, and had been misdirected to the other website. So thank you & I hope it all gets straightened out quickly! You’re the best!
    Blessings,
    Sindy 🙂

Thanks for letting us know about “Back Porch Musings”. I’ve just recently discovered your blog and all the rest and it’s quite amazing how attached I’ve grown to reading them in just a short time!

    Hi Rhoda
Thanks so much for mentioning my dilemma and linking the new address.

I did a little fancy footwork this morning and got my page back. I am going to add my new address to a little post there, in case folks are still clicking the old site. I am going to make every effort to get the old Back Porch Musings moved to the new address at Typepad, as I am intending to keep the Porch there.

Since her blog is being redirected to another site, it sounds like her blog might have been hacked. Nevertheless, I am hearing more and more instances of weird things happening to blogs. Just yesterday I saw where one of the bloggers I used to visit regularly said she had not been able to get into her blog for the past 10 months! Finally, one day last month she tried to log on and magically, Blogger let her in! I know of other bloggers who mysteriously lost their blogs completely. Poof! Just gone! Weird. And so sad. We all put so much time, effort, heart and soul into our blogs that I find it totally unsettling to think this could happen to any of us, at any time.

    Hey Rhoda,
I have been wanting to email you but wasn’t sure if your email is the same! I’m in the market for a slipcovered sofa (for the keeping room) in the new house and have my eye on the Pottery barn (grand) but I see the Baldwin (ballard designs) has down in it as well and is less than half the price. I just wondered if you or anyone you knew has any upholstered pieces from Ballard and if they like it. I’m a little hesitant to buy something I haven’t sat on, but I know you have been to Ballards stores and wondered if you could give me your 2 cents! thanks 🙂

Also, you might check out the Lindon Street Friday Sofa Group at JC Penny Furniture. I just got slip covered chairs and sofa from there and really like them. They look JUST like pottery barn. It goes on sale 50% off, making the sofa $900! There are pictures in my blog under “living room pics” if you want to see them.

Hey Rhoda, thanks for getting back to me! I have wondered about the IKEA Ektorp as well (Manuela loves hers!) but the closest store really isn’t that close either and they don’t ship! Plus, not sure if they offer down and I really want it.
Yes we are building a new house, they are starting the stone and brick today. If you click on the “new house” category on my blog you will see it! 🙂

So glad to have stumbled upon your blog. Easy to get lost in. So beautiful. I have just begun my blogging journey. I will blog over to your friends site next. I can’t imagine loosing your site after all the love put into them (and mine is less than a week old!). Looking forward to getting to know you better.

That’s a really sweet looking cornice board, they look so great in the right place.
I am so sorry to hear about Pat’s blog, I haven’t visited her in a couple of days, but I am going over now. Thanks for the info.
