If you’re decorating for Christmas, which I’ve already been doing, I’ve got some fun tips to share with you today on how to decorate a mantel the easy way. I’m partnering with Command® Adjustablesâ„¢ repositionable hooks and clips on this project to show you how I’m using them in my Christmas decorating. These handy tools sure make it easy to decorate a mantel, so let me show you how I used them. I like simple ways to make decorating easier, don’t you? This time of year we are all busy and scurrying around trying to get ready for the upcoming Holidays so anything that helps me get things done faster, I’m all for that.
These Command® Adjustables™ repositionable 1 lb. hooks and clips do a great job with securing things to a mantel. They can be used on many surfaces, such as painted, stained or varnished wood, glass, tile, painted cinder block, plaster, metal, and painted wallboard. And the good thing is they help to decorate damage free! I bought these at Walmart and you can find them with all the other Command® products, so look for the ones that say Command® Adjustables™ repositionable 1 lb. hooks and clips.
What I love about these new Command® Adjustables™ repositionable 1 lb. hooks and clips is that they can be moved up to 3 times in the first 20 minutes and still stick. If you want to find out more about the new products, click here and read all about it. Hover over the picture below to shop!

They are so easy to use, just take off the backing, add it to a clear hook or clip and pull off the other piece of backing when you’re ready to secure it. I used both the hooks and clips to secure my garland to the mantel this year and it was so easy.
I spaced them out on the ends and in the middle to make sure my garland had something to hold on to and since they are clear they disappear on the mantel and you can’t even see them.
These are the clips and I used the hooks on the end and the middle to securely fasten my garland. I began with the garland to get my mantel decorated this year.
The garland came with a ring, so it slips on very tightly to the hook and now I don’t have to worry about my garland falling down or putting nails in the wood (which I’ve been known to do in the past!). No tools required to use these Command® Adjustablesâ„¢ repositionable 1 lb. hooks and clips. Easy to put up and easy to take down, that’s my kind of Christmas decorating.
!
I also picked up these pretty sparkly pinecone ornaments from Walmart to use on my garland. They will add a nice touch of sparkle to the mantel.
They look so pretty on the garland adding a glittery touch.

Here’s the mantel all ready for Christmas this year! It feels so good to have the house all festive and ready for celebrating. I love this time of year with the coziness of the Christmas lights. I added in things I already have as well as some unused shutters to the mantel for a festive touch. I love using things I already have and enjoy mixing things up to make a fresh look each year.
And I don’t have to worry about my garland falling down, it’s secured very tightly with these new Command® Adjustablesâ„¢ hooks and clips.
They disappear behind the garland but do their job creating a strong hold for my garland strands.
I love how easy they were to use too!
Clear and tucked out of the way, they do their job well. We will be enjoying all the Christmas lights as our house is beautifully illuminated this year. I hope this gave you some ideas on how you can get your decorating done more quickly and easier than ever. Mantels, especially, tell me how to arrange custom Garden Designs….Better.
Seems crazy, but how forms are arranged, symmetrical, asymmetrical, cone/rounded shapes, clusters, textures, colors, a lot/a little, heights, repeated combinations, all go into designing Gardens.
Mantels, dining room tables, chest of drawers against a wall, seem to flow with the same style ‘topper’ arrangements.
Came to look at mantel pics ! Instead, discovered a new product.
Is the lighting cord long enough to be snug against the mantel, with another clip, and still fit the outlet? Quick learner, with those clips ! Pricing looks excellent for the smaller clips, if I’m reading your pics correctly.
Merry Christmas, Garden & Be Well, XO Tara
Thank you Tara, haven’t seen you in awhile, great to hear from you. I’m trying to hide the lights in the garland so I let them drape as well and they are also hooked down with the clips.
Thank you for showing a great way to add garland to my mantel…I haven’t, because my beloved hubby wouldn’t let me put nails into it. I didn’t know these existed.
Hi, Angela, yes get some they are great!
