Decorating with Real Wreaths and Garland & Giveaway!

Don’t you love seeing beautiful real wreaths and draping evergreen scented garland all over at Christmas?

I love decorating with real wreaths and garland during the Christmas season, but don’t always do it. I have bought real wreaths before at a local store here and there, but overall I have in my Christmas décor stash, the faux version of wreaths and Christmas trees.  And those are great, but there is really something special about the real thing, isn’t there?  I grew up with a real tree, the smell permeating the house like nothing faux can do.  I love that smell!

And I like working with real family businesses too who are doing what they love.  So, today I’m partnering with Lynch Creek Farm to share with all of you, my readers, about their wonderful products, straight from Washington state.  The Lynch Creek family business began in 1980, a hobby farm, where they grew organic vegetables and sold them at the local farmer’s market.  This evolved into selling real Christmas wreaths and garlands online, those products coming straight from Washington, where they are handmade and shipped out each Christmas for people all over the country to use and enjoy.  They have beautiful products, so when they contacted me about doing a giveaway with them and using some of their products, of course, I said YES!

Real wreaths and garlands are just so pretty and festive for the Holiday season and I jumped at the chance to bring some of this goodness into my house.  Here’s another great thing:  they offer free shipping too, so you can shop at home and have these beautiful wreaths and garlands shipped directly to your house.  They are very affordable too!  With a mix of fragrant evergreens, these are beautiful wreaths of nature, filled with wonderful smelling greens.

The wreath came in this pretty red box and when I opened it up, it looked so freshly picked with a wonderful scent to my nose.  I love that smell of Christmas!

Lynch Creek offers several different types of wreaths and bows and I love all of these.  Mine is the one with the green bow, the Blended Bay, with a mix of greens, pinecone and a pretty green bow.  I love all of them, even the one in the bottom right that’s called Bah Humbug.  It’s a plain green wreath with a wonderful red striped bow.  There’s something for every taste and their prices really are reasonable for what you get.

Free shipping on everything too!  Straight to your door from Washington state.

I’ve been busy at my house, decorating for Christmas and the Blended Bay wreath from Lynch Creek is front and center above my fireplace mantel.  It’s been fun to have more time this year to decorate and enjoy the Christmas season since I was so rushed last year after moving in.

JOY describes exactly how I feel this year!

mantel 2013

My house feels joyful and peaceful, just the way I like it.  I just went for a natural look on the mantel this year.  I was going to put the garland they sent me on the mantel, but it was really nice and long, so outside it went. Wait til I show you that!  On the mantel, I just used a faux garland I had with lights and woven with natural materials, pinecones, antler and some pine sprays.  Those gold cones on the white urns I have had for many, many years and just keep reusing them.  My rustic mantel is perfect for decorating with a natural feel.

Now, let’s go outside!  You are going to get a preview of what’s been happening out there.  The weather has gotten in the way with all the rain we are having, but I hired a dad/son team to do this portico addition for me and I couldn’t be happier.  I’ll be doing a whole post just on this porch really soon!

Here’s the progress so far and I couldn’t wait to get my garland hung up on the chunky columns, swagging in the middle. Isn’t it gorgeous, this beautiful mixed garland from  Lynch Creek?

front of house

Here’s a shot of the house with the new portico addition that is still in progress.   They are coming back this Saturday to hopefully finish up this front porch project and I’ve got a few more things I’m going to hire them to do later on.  This project was way too much for my dad to handle, so I’m glad I hired the pros.  They are good at what they do.  Again, I’ll be sharing all of this in another post, but was so excited to show you the sneak peek and to put up this beautiful garland.

porch and garland

You can bet that next year, I’ll really have fun with my new portico and it will be decked out to the max.  By then, it will all be painted with railings in place and it will be looking fantastic!

If you are looking for real greens for Christmas, this year, I hope you’ll take a look at Lynch Creek Farm. They really do have some great products and are reasonably priced too.  You just can’t beat real greens for Christmas and I have a feeling that I’ll be draping real garland every single year now.  It’s so pretty!

Merry Christmas!  Let’s begin the season!

$100 Giveaway from Lynch Creek Farm!

Here’s some fantastic news!

I am very pleased to find that these are made in my home state! And what gracious neighbors to sponsor this giveaway. I would be overjoyed to win the Wildlife Centerpiece with Cardinals, the Leather Jingle Bells and Seattle Mint Truffles.

Love the garland and wreath. I just found out about this company this year and sent a wreath to a friend. They look beautiful. Now I wish I would’ve gotten myself one!

The magestic magnolia wreath! My parents bought an overgrown Christmas tree farm here in WA state when I was a kid and we cut and sold the boughs for wreaths. Ahh the smell! Reminds me of childhood Christmas’….
