I’m back to share a bit more in Lauren and Philip’s new house, that being the small library that is just off the foyer of their new house. This is just an open small space that’s perfect for a deck and bookcases. Sort of an out of the way alcove that will be nice for a smaller cozy office. We also worked again with one of my sponsors, Payless Décor, in getting some drapes for this single window. They have tall ceilings in their home and these drapes are longer than average and she chose grommets for her windows in this space.
They turned out really pretty!
Lauren choose grommets on her drapes for a modern, yet classic look and she bought dark wood rods for this room. You’ll notice a pretty wooden desk and a new bookcase in here too.
Shopping on Craigslist again, she found this beautiful wood desk by Kindel for $150. What a steal that was! She looked up the brand and found out it’s high-end.
This pretty bookcase was also a Craigslist find for $450. So, this room is really coming together now, with the addition of the drapes.
The desk is very classic and traditional and looks great in here.
With a leather top, it’s a nice addition to their classic home.
Top of the bookcase.
Now for the details on the drapes. Lauren chose Advantage III drapery panels in the color, Carmina Hemp, a pretty damask pattern in a golden shade. With Payless Décor, you can order several types of drapes and are made to order per the specs that you choose. There are LOTS of fabric choices to choose from as well and you can order samples online to be sure you know what you are getting before ordering.
The grommets are nice and neat and hang really well.
They are lined and made to order. You can choose the length too and order that to your own window size.
Choose width and height for your panels and grommets or pole-mount and get just what you want (with fabric choices, they have lots to choose from).
Lauren’s new drapes look beautiful in her window and really makes this room come alive now. These drapes ran about $350 (with some discounts applied) for the pair, which is certainly not unreasonable for custom ordered drapes.

I love the bamboo shades!
I would love to shop for a new rug or curtains… need them both!
I would love to win drapes! I have 2 large picture windows in the front of my house that have been naked since I painted the rooms last year. Ready-made 84″ drapes are too short so I’m excited that Payless offers custom lengths!
Lauren’s home is lovely. I love seeing pics and reading about it. I would love to win a bamboo blind for a single window in my family room.
Shades…I need them for the living room and my son’s room.

Be still my heart!! I love that desk, she found great deals on CL, the room is lovely and the drapes really add so much too it. Love the fabric she chose and the price is very reasonable for lined, custom drapes of that length.
I would love to use the giveaway for bamboo shades, watched your video and it couldn’t be easier to put them up.
I am debating between bamboo and roman shades!
