Drapes in Lauren’s Library & Giveaway!

I’m back to share a bit more in Lauren and Philip’s new house, that being the small library that is just off the foyer of their new house.  This is just an open small space that’s perfect for a deck and bookcases. Sort of an out of the way alcove that will be nice for a smaller cozy office.  We also worked again with one of my sponsors, Payless Décor, in getting some drapes for this single window.  They have tall ceilings in their home and these drapes are longer than average and she chose grommets for her windows in this space.

They turned out really pretty!

payless drapes

Lauren choose grommets on her drapes for a modern, yet classic look and she bought dark wood rods for this room. You’ll notice a pretty wooden desk and a new bookcase in here too.

Shopping on Craigslist again, she found this beautiful wood desk by Kindel for $150. What a steal that was! She looked up the brand and found out it’s high-end.

This pretty bookcase was also a Craigslist find for $450.  So, this room is really coming together now, with the addition of the drapes.

The desk is very classic and traditional and looks great in  here.

With a leather top, it’s a nice addition to their classic home.

grommeted drapes

Now for the details on the drapes.  Lauren chose Advantage III drapery panels in the color, Carmina Hemp, a pretty damask pattern in a golden shade.  With Payless Décor, you can order several types of drapes and are made to order per the specs that you choose.  There are LOTS of fabric choices to choose from as well and you can order samples online to be sure you know what you are getting before ordering.

The grommets are nice and neat and hang really well.

They are lined and made to order.  You can choose the length too and order that to your own window size.

drape fabric

Choose width and height for your panels and grommets or pole-mount and get just what you want (with fabric choices, they have lots to choose from).

Lauren’s new drapes look beautiful in her window and really makes this room come alive now.  These drapes ran about $350 (with some discounts applied) for the pair, which is certainly not unreasonable for custom ordered drapes.

If you are sprucing up some areas for the Holidays and looking for some shades or blinds and maybe semi-custom drapes, choosing your fabric and having them made and shipped to you, Payless is offering some discounts right now:
To save 10% extra on Bamboo Shade orders, use code EMBS1113

To save 10% extra on all Cellular Shades orders, use code EMCS1113

To save 10% extra on all Drapery orders, use code EMDC1113 (exclusive to my readers!)

I did a video last year with  Payless Decor on installing bamboo blinds and that is finally up and ready, so check it out if you’d like to see how easy it is to install these bamboo shades, like I have in my house.  I still love my bamboo shades one year later!

On another fun note for this Thanksgiving week, Payless Decor is offering a $150 giveaway to one of my readers!  You can get started on a project at your house, with shades, blinds, drapes, or rugs.  There’s a lot to choose from at Payless Decor and I can vouch for their affordability and value as well as style.

Please leave a comment below and after visiting Payless Decor, tell me what you would love to win:  blinds, shades, drapes, rug or just what will you spend the $150 on if you win?

Please follow directions on the Rafflecopter below, leaving a blog comment is mandatory and then you can also Like Payless Decor on Facebook for an extra entry.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Note: As a Payless Decor brand ambassador, I am compensated to share products and ideas with my readers.  This post is a sponsored post, but all ideas and reviews are my own.

I would love the 2″ faux wood blinds. We are slowly replacing all windows with blinds and this would help greatly.

We could really use some new blinds and / or drapes – apparently I am overly picky about them 😉
