End of August Thrifty Treasures

Happy Sunday!

I’m back from a fun weekend in the NC mountains and I will share all of that fun later, but here are some highlights from last week’s party.

Mid-century set of flatware from Tatter and Fray that was scored for $2!  What a find that was.

Check out these pink painted beauties from Oops Redone.

Upholstered twin headboard from Goodwill for $10 from Design Pardeux.

Being Brook scored a $20 Goodwill desk that she painted blue for her son’s room.  Cute!

I love Amanda’s genius idea of taking a HUGE thriftstore frame, ordering a family print to fit the old pic inside and using the old mat, now she has a BIG framed family print over her fireplace.  For under $20!  That’s my kind of bargain.

Parsimonia found these vintage Pyrex bowls out thrifting.  These are SO pretty!

Debbie has a great collection of thrifted blue and white pieces.  Love it!

So, what did YOU find this week?

Google isn’t letting me comment so this is for Tatter and Fray

Talk about a score! Have you given it the bakelite test? If you rub the handle and it gives off a formaldehyde smell you have a valuable set of bakelite flatware.

Hi Rhoda! Thanks so much for hosting this party, and featuring the Pyrex bowls! I’m having so much fun thrifting the whole Butterfly Gold collection, and finding these Cinderella ones in such pristine condition was a Godsend! Also, I’m very jealous of your weekend in North Carolina. It’s so beautiful there! Can’t wait to hear more about it!

Rhonda, lots of inspiration here. Debbie’s blue and white inspired me to pull all my pieces out of the cupboard for display again. Some thrifted, some not, but I do enjoy the group together.
Thanks for hosting each week. ~ sarah

What a great link up, so many interesting finds! I’m la-la-loving that set of flatware- its so hard to find nice, unusual pieces, at a good price.

Thank you for hosting. It has been a looong weekend, and I am even a bit confused on what day it is. I am having trouble with a direct link back to the party but I am working on it. Thanks for being patient with me.
I look forward to seeing everyone’s treasures each week.
