Fall Mantel Inspiration

Good morning and welcome to Southern Hospitality if you’re new here!

I’m kicking off the BHome Fall tour today, a group of talented ladies who are ready to show off their Fall homes. Even though I’m not completely ready to show this house off yet, I couldn’t resist trying to get in on some of the Fall tours going on in blogland right now.  I’ll confess it’s really hard this time of year, because everyone pulls out all the stops when it comes to photographing and putting their best foot forward for these tours, all the way til Christmas and it can be quite daunting trying to keep up. I never feel like I can keep up with all the beauty out there, so I just do the best I can do, especially with the recent move. I probably shouldn’t have signed up for this tour, but here I am, so welcome if you’re new here!

I want to welcome you from  Kim at Savvy Southern Style, who is sharing her Fall updates in her master bedroom. so don’t miss out on seeing Kim’s updates, she’s has fantastic style that you’ll love.

We recently moved in our new house just a few short weeks ago, so are definitely not all put together and picture perfect (well, I’m never really picture perfect on any of my tours), but today I’m sharing a Fall mantel that I hope you’ll enjoy. It’s fun to have a new mantel to decorate and being in a new house has all sorts of fun possibilities and I’ve only just begun to get this house looking pretty. That’s the part I love the most.

That being said, welcome to the B Home Fall tour of homes and I hope you enjoy my little corner of the world.

As I mentioned, we just moved in a few weeks ago and it’s been one project after another, getting things painted and just trying to get settled in and living here.

The mantel in our new family room was the prefect spot to add some Fall goodies, so I just pulled out things I have on hand that reminded me of Fall and cozy comfortable living.  Fuzzy throws in a basket and a bamboo chair add some Fallish feels to the vignette.

An aqua vase holds some fig leaves from my dad’s yard along with red leaves from a dogwood tree. We don’t have a lot of leaves turning here yet, but in a few more weeks, we’ll have lots of colored leaves out there.

I’m using a mirror I had above the mantel, along with this wicker and metal basket with leaves and I’ve had a long time, I think I found that at a long ago yardsale.  Pinecones always speak Fall to me, so those are included too, along with some faux golden pears.  I just love pears and their yellowy tones remind me of Fall leaves.

Another large green pear sits atop a wicker riser and two glass candlesticks flank the mirror.  It’s simple but definitely speaks to Fall!

Looking back toward the kitchen, I’ll be sharing more of that space soon.

And tomorrow I’ll be back with another little Fall tour highlighting our new dining room.  It was actually fun to stop all the work I’ve been doing to create something pretty, so thanks for taking the time to stop by today.

Next on the tour is Kristy from Starfish Cottage.  I know you’ll enjoy her coastal cottage home full of inspiration for Fall, so don’t miss it!

Also, don’t miss the following giveaway!

Love your mantle display. Simple but beautiful.
I recently shared (asked my husband how he liked it, said junked up..lol) a mantle that in my opinion was overdone. Looked like they had a box full of fall decorations and used it all.
I like the Less is more look…… Love, love the mirror.

Pardon me, I haven’t even read your post yet. I had to go find the archives to see what I missed! Boy did I miss a lot and I cannot tell you how happy I am for you. My eyes are leaking as I write this! I was following your blog when your last marriage blew up and I hated so much that you had to go through that pain. But now, as God so faithfully does, he has brought you full circle through that storm and into this new love story which sounds perfect! Your wedding venue and photos are so beautiful! I hope you hold true to your word and enjoy every minute of this new life the two of you will share. God bless. Now I can read this post…anxious to see the new house!

Gosh I just LOVE their pumpkins. I don’t know if it’s the real stems or that lush, cozy fabric- but they make weak in the knees just scrolling their pics- LOVE
