It was a brisk & beautiful Fall morning on Saturday & I took off around 7:15 a.m. to hit two neighborhood sales near me. Lots of folks were out browsing, just as I was, looking for those bargains. Here’s a few things that I saw along the way, but didn’t buy. A pile of pillows just waiting to go to a new home. I don’t need pillows, so I passed them by, but I thought they were pretty.
This table had some neat decorative items that caught my eye, but I didn’t need any of this either. Candleholder was pretty & if you like Asian, those little figurines were cute.
This slightly beat up table & chairs had a price tag of $50. Not bad at all if you have nothing to eat on. I tell my friends all the time what great bargains there are out there, but I don’t usually get anyone who wants to get up early & brave the sales with me. They are missing out on some neat things. I’m going to be on the lookout for an old table to use as my hubby’s desk. We have an extra bedroom that is his office & he said he’d like to have a large table in there, instead of a regular desk, so that’s one of the things I’ll be looking for a good deal on. I’ll find it, you can bet on that!
This rocker was already sold. I think it said $5.00 on the pricetag, but that’s really hard to believe. 
Blue/white pices & side tables. I think these tables were $10 each.
This chair & ottoman was $100. Not too bad shape either.
These mirrors were $2.00 each. They are plastic frames, but could probably be painted to look better.
An old vintage lamp. I didn’t get the price on this, but it was a pretty shape.
More old lamps & older things from a nice little lady.
And this pretty wrought iron glass-top table & chairs was $75 from the same lady. That was a steal for this. It was really very pretty detail & would be perfect on a patio. I just don’t need it right now.
You are going to pass out when I tell you that this old trunk was $20. Again, no room for more things like this. It was pretty old, as I opened it & looked inside.
Lots of hardback books.
OK, so what did I buy this week, you ask? My hubby had told me if I ran into an espresso maker, he’d like to have one, so today was the day. This Krup’s machine was $5. He loves coffee, so this will add some extra caffiene jolts to his day.
These curly sticks were 50 cents. They were originally from Pier One. I’ll find someplace for them.
This old pitcher was 50 cents also. This little lady said her sister had this vase for about 50 years, so it may have a story. It’s got felt on the bottom, so I can’t tell exactly how old it is. It will go with my ironstone collection.
And this sweet little planter was free. I stopped by one little sale & this was marked at 25 cents. Since I didn’t have any change, she gave it to me. Another cute piece for my white collection.
All these natural items were $1.00. I have some grand plans for Christmas decorating this year, using lots more natural elements in my decor. I will be sure & share all my fun with you as I’m planning this. I see some metallic spray paint in my future.
These 2 candleholders were $4.00 for the pair. They are sort of a pewter look to them & I loved the beaded design. I may do some embellishing on these too for Christmas. The candles smell yummy too.
I can’t ever pass up these armillaries. I just love the shape of them. This little guy was $2.
And you know how much I love black/white things. Another cute top for $1.00.

This is the official notice that I am doing a HUGE closeout in the shop & everything is 1/2 price starting today, so ya’ll get over there & shop. As soon as I hear from MimiG, I’ll get her things put away, so she needs to choose 2 things first. I need to move all this inventory out in hopes that I can do the shop again in the Spring. Thanks for supporting me this summer! It was a lot of fun doing the shop too. I’ve already gotten a few emails from some of you wanting to buy, so I will give Mimi until the end of today to get back to me. You’re so lucky to live in a climate where yard sales abound even in fall. Up here, it’s pretty much just May and June. If I lived down there, you can bet you’d have a sale-ing buddy at 7:15 in the morning!!!! I would LOVE to come with you!
You really do find the best stuff at yard sales I swear!!! If we ever get this house done I can’t wait to start going to yard sales again…. I miss finding all those great treasures!!! Happy October :o)

Goodness, I so need that patio table and chairs!!! I just can’t get up that early on a weekend after getting up at 6am all week. I don’t know how you do it! You really have the best yard sales. Are the thrift stores just as good?

I can’t seem to get up early enough to do it myself but you are inspiring me to get out there and do it. I also really enjoyed seeing the catering event you went to and how they decorated the tables. Your home is beautiful!

Gee Rhonda, I wish I lived closer. I would love to haul it out of bed early to go garage saleing with you!! LOL. I would have grabbed up those mirrors and repainted them black and taken that wrought iron glass table and chairs too!!
