Fashion over 50: Casual Gray Skinnies and Top

Hi, friends, it’s Wednesday again, it sure rolls around fast!  As usual, it’s been a pretty casual week for me and as summer arrives, I don’t do a lot of dressing up. Dressing down, in fact is the norm for me as this season brings hot weather and I just want to be cooler. Summer just calls for dressed down clothing for me!

I still like to look cute when I go out and if I’m going to be inside and outside, I can still stand skinny pants, so these gray skinnies from Old Navy come in handy.  I’ve really enjoyed these, they are stretchy and comfy.

This top I’ve had for 6 years and I may have shown it before, but it’s a really comfy top that I bought from Beall’s outlet in Destin when I was down there years ago.  I still remember what I bought during that trip.  I love these type tops, sort of a jersey knit material that washes up SO well. Wash and hang up and it’s ready to wear again.

I need to look for more tops like this, I have a few out of this type fabric and they are so easy care for summer.

This one has some black beading around the neckline for a little extra jewelry, so I don’t even wear a necklace with it.  It’s cut in at the sides, so I wear one of those racerback bras with it.

Sandals are those Target ones that are still available.  Love these metallic sandals for summer, they go with everything.  I’m even wearing metallic gold/pewter on my toes right now.

I can’t link but a couple of things today, but here you go below, affiliate links used:

I really appreciate your Fashion over Fifty posts. You are the ONLY one out there (that I could find) doing this. I’m not ready for pastel polyester pantsuits and don’t want to dress in short skirts and clingy thin knits that twenty-somethings can pull off. You hit the perfect note. Thank you!

You look cute! Any reason you’re covering your left hand in the pictures? Hiding a ring perhaps?

I love your style! That top is adorable. What is the name of your nail polish? I have similar coloring, and I would love to try the metallic color.

HI, Sherry, thank you so much. OK, that nail polish is not one I send send you to in the stores. When I was in High Point, there were some nail polish freebies in one of the shops and I picked up this metallic. It’s sort of a pewter color, so maybe you can find a similar one with OPI, those are good polishes.
