Fashion over 50: Indigo Blue Lace Top

I’m back today with another post for Fashion over 50.  Working with Glamour Farms online boutique has been really fun. Those ladies are a family owned business and it’s been great getting to know Stephanie, one of the gals who runs Glamour Farms, along with her mom and sister. They built this business online and their goal is to bring affordable fashion to women everywhere. They are coming to Haven Conference this year and doing a fashion show for us and we are so excited about that!

Stephanie was in town a few weeks ago and she and I met up for lunch. She’s a real sweetheart (love her haircut!) and pretty lady and we met up in downtown Woodstock, which is a fun place to have lunch and browse.  The black and white top I have on is from Glamour Farms too, called One of These Days and it’s on sale now.

There are some cute shops there with women’s clothing as well and we browsed in one of them.  I picked up some off the shoulder tops and told Stephanie I really wanted one of this type top and she said they were getting some in.  What I didn’t know was she had this one made just for me!  I’m so honored and excited to share it.  It’s a beautiful shade of indigo and with the lace around the bottom, a very pretty top.  I can’t wait to wear it on a date soon!  It’s the perfect combo of feminine and stylish.

Isn’t this the cutest?  I think she named it after me too, since I live in Kennesaw.  How fun to have a top just for me!

Jeans are Rockstar by Old Navy (affiliate link).

It’s a really pretty top and feels so good on.  I like that it has small straps and is just off the shoulder enough, but not at all indecent. I totally think we older gals can wear a slightly sexy top like this and get away with it.  Many older women try to hide their necks and not show much skin and I’m sure one day I’ll feel that way too, but until then, I’m going to wear tops like this.

The part that is off the shoulder is stretchy too, so it doesn’t feel like it’s falling off at all. Very comfortable and the straps are adjustable, so you can pull it down a little further if you want.

The lace detail is see through on the bottom only, so my white jeans show through.

From the back, it’s barely off the shoulder and very feminine.

I’m really loving these gladiator sandals this summer too. They go with a lot in this pewter color.

Guess Janger gladiator sandal at Boscov’s. (not an affiliate link, but there are several sizes left at a great price! )

I love this top and the indigo blue color is soft and vintage looking. I’m wearing a Small in this one. Adding silver jewelry was the simple way to top off this outfit.

While in New Orleans, my little fashion assistant and I posed for a picture by the front door.  I’m wearing a Ruffle tunic from Glamour Farms, but sadly this one is no longer available. They have a really nice selection of tunics to choose from though.  Little Miss Parker is wearing a cute one piece shorts jumper from Janie & Jack, that cute online children’s shop.  She has a lot of clothes from there and they are adorable.  She had just gotten out of the pool with wet hair when we got dressed for dinner.  Isn’t she a cutie?

White Crop leggings are from Glamour Farms and their quality is great on these. Nice and thick and stay up without sliding down.

If you want to check out Glamour Farms this week, you can use code RHODA5, for $10 off your order (regular prices, not sale).

Thanks for stopping by today!

Love both of these outfits! The top they made for you is perfect. I’ve wanted to try off the shoulder but I know it would be uncomfortable to me. Having the little straps would be great.

I love the top. I have been wanting to try off the shoulder and this is great–especially for us that don’t have “good” arms, the sleeves are wonderful. Your little assistant is a cutie pie!

You look gorgeous!! I love the indigo top, it’s so feminine! I ordered the ruffle tunic a few months back after I saw it on your blog!
In fact, thanks to you, I now have at least nine tops/tunics from Glamour Farms that I’ve ordered over the past several months!
I love their clothes and the quality of them!
Thanks for sharing your family, your life, with us! Enjoy your blog so much!

Very nice! You are lovely in this shade ~~ I have five off the shoulder tops in my summer wardrobe and two in my winter/dressy wardrobe! I know, too many. However I have found no style as flattering on my soon to be 75-year old body!

Your post have been showing up in a very long line along the left hand of my screen. It’s is making it very hard to read. It looks fine on my feedly, but when I click over to read it is crazy. Any clues to the problem?

HI, Teresa, I have been talking about this on the blog in the last 6 weeks. It seems that those who are having problems are running ad blockers. Do you have one of those installed? When they halted the ad blocker, things went back to normal. The only thing I can figure out is that Chrome and Firefox have some incompatibilities with an ad plugin I have installed and updated, which I need to keep. The only thing I can suggest to those having problems is to stop the ad blocker or try on another browser. Thanks!

Thank you, Merrilyn, glad you got that problem fixed. I think I’m going to have to get more of these off shoulder tops, they are very fun.

I love your Fashion segments. You always look very beautifully ‘put together’ but I especially like this top, the colour and the lace that shows only the jeans beneath but nothing else. [too many tops are much too see through for me!]. It’s very flattering on you. Again, thanks for sharing your style and your tips.

Thank you, Carolyn, I agree, it’s a great top and not at all see-through.
