Fashion over 50: Jeans Night Out

With a couple of trips back to back, I haven’t had a lot of dressing up other than when I was traveling, so today I’m sharing what I wore on a dinner out in Memphis,TN for a recent brand event with Shaw Floors (I’ll be sharing the whole event next week, it was amazing!), but we stayed at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis and had a couple of dinners out, which was really fun.

These jeans are Mother jeans that I’ve shared before. They are pricey, but fit really well and are flared at the bottom.  I am glad I bought them, they feel so good on and I like the way they hug, but not too tight and are stretchy and comfortable.  The waistband is high too. I can’t find these jeans online anymore, but you could probably find something similar.

They are a darker wash and I paired them with a simple white blouse and topped it with a black cardigan, since it was a little chilly and rainy outside. Those cardigans come in handy for layering.

The booties I’ve shared before too and they are a little out there, but I love them for a leopard accent and how punchy they are.  They are wedge and by Matisse (affiliate link).  They are pricey too, but I’ve enjoyed having them and did find them for less a couple years ago when I bought them.

I added some pearl jewelry and it was a little bit dressy for evening.

The jewelry I’ve had for a long time, so can’t link to it, but pearl is a great accent for jeans and cardigans to dress them up a bit.

Here are the booties I’m wearing and a couple of black cardigans that are similar to mine. Thanks for stopping by today!

Cute outfit! Didn’t you love the Peabody Hotel!!! My Dad use to tell me stories of dancing on the rooftop of the Peabody Hotel back in his day. He was 51 when I was born & I miss him very much. The ducks are all so cute and the fountain is fabulous! Thanks for sharing & love your outfit!

Hi, Betsy, thank you so much! I haven’t done anything really different, nothing but basic skin care and moisturizers. Never had fillers or any of that.

Being in love works better for your face than anything you could ever put on it!!! I love your hair color Rhoda–do you do it yourself and what do you use?

HI, Maureen, I do not do my own color anymore. I used to do it years ago, but found a really good stylist and I let her do that now. My hair is getting really white on top, so she blends it all in for me.

I really love the outfit and especially the booties. Can you tell us more about your black cardigan? I love the way it drapes and the material is not too heavy. What is the brand name? Thank you.
