Hello friends! I’m back today with a cozy new sweater I just got from Old Navy. I remember not all that long ago when I could hardly find long sweaters and tops that covered up and looked stylish too. It took awhile for the long top trend to catch on, but brands are definitely adding more into that inventory now and even stores like Old Navy are jumping on the trend, which I think is great.
Boots and sweaters are my uniform during winter months!
This sweater from Old Navy is a fun addition to my closet and it pairs well with any dark pants, like brown or black. It’s sort of an oatmeal color, but they have some other colors too, check out the link below.
The sweater has some nice detailing around the bottom hem. Scarves are my go to during the winter months too to add color and texture to sweaters. I’ve got a good collection of scarves going.
I ordered this sweater in Tall, so you can see it really is long and longer in the back than the front, but Regular length is available too.
I so enjoy sweaters this time of year, they are so cozy and soft with pants and boots. My favorites!
Adding that pop of color in the scarf makes a big difference too.
Since it was cold out that day, I did layer a brown leather jacket on top for warmth. Of course, a long coat would work well too, but I tend to not wear long coats if I don’t need to.
I’ve got the sweater I have on linked below, as well as a few other long sweater options from Old Navy. I also bought that gray heathered mock neck sweater linked below too and it’s really pretty. They have some great sales going on right now! Link to the boots I have, but only size 6 left. Those are the brown leggings I am wearing too (affiliate links):
Love the look!
You always look great. You coordinate all your different elements so well together, your clothing harmonize attractively and so very efficient.
Love this sweater…. I purchased it in the oatmeal color and in black !! It’s very comfortable and looks great with jeans or leggings!! So pretty the way you have it paired up !!!!
Hey, Terri, I’m thinking about ordering another one too, such a good deal.
Loved the boots, looking for something similar.. but you only have size 6 left, You look great. Happy Holiday

Such pretty pictures! In the close up, I noticed how your earrings match your scarf. Really nice! I haven’t commented lately just because of the busy time of year but I read your blog every day and just have to tell you how beautiful your home is. It’s a pleasure to see and the Christmas decorations are beautiful! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
HI,Linda, thank you so much! I’m so happy to share allof our Christmas with ya’ll!
You’re such a cutie! Nice outfit. You are always pulled together. Merry Christmas!
Lovely. What is the color of the lipstick? It is a beautiful color on you.
HI, Tee, thank you so much. The lipstick is an old Clinique color called Think Bronze. I love their older colors better than the new ones and find them on Ebay.
Hi Rhoda – always love and so appreciate your choices…..
In addition to the beautiful clothing, my eye was continuously caught by the magnificent monogrammed mat at your door…… Would you mind sharing from where you purchased? Absolutely stunning and looks to be very high quality.
Thanks much – Janice
(sorry if I’ve missed in an earlier post…)
HI, Janice, thank you so much. I have mentioned it before but only in passing. It’s from Frontgate and a very nice mat! We love it.
Saw your blog this morning and I went to Old Navy shopping. I have been looking for the longer sweaters to wear with leggings or jeans. The selection at my store was pretty picked over but I was able to find one in my size – Graphite Gray and I love it and hubby also gave me a compliment!! I forget about Old Navy but really need to shop there more. Thanks Rhoda!!
HI, Paula, that’s great that you found something in the store. I can’t always find what I’m looking for so I tend to look online and shop.
Love this look and it’s mine too in the winter but I’m in the Northeast so my boots have to change to be a little more significant and snow friendly – LOL Love that things you share and feature are affordable – Merry Christmas!
Cute look! Can you share your scarf tying technique?
HI, Nan, if you look on my left sidebar, I did a scarf tying video of my favorite way to tie my scarves.
That is a great tip about buying a sweater in ‘tall’ so that it is longer!
I hope you and Mark have a very Merry Christmas!
