Fashion over 50: Long Faux Fur Vest

Back today with Fashion over 50!  Asheville and the Grove Park Inn was a great back drop for fashion while we were there last weekend, so I’m sharing some of my outfits with you today.

Lauren’s baby bump is showing, but you can hardly tell it here.  She loves coats and always has a stylish one.

Looking like a movie starlet!

I’ve shown you parts of this outfit before, but I’m wearing black jeggings hat I found at Costo, by Calvin Klein. They were $15. They are looking a little wrinkly here, but are nice and stretchy. Boots are my Ralph Lauren boots. That top came from Steinmart a couple of years ago and the sweater is from Anthropologie, probably 3 years ago, so I can’t link to any of this.

It was a happy accident that this top and that sweater go so well together.

The top is a longer tunic type and is sleeveless so I can wear it all seasons.

The next outfit is a long, faux fur vest I picked up at a mobile fashion boutique in Roswell, called GG’s Fashion Forward.  This one was $45.  Keep in mind that I’m tall at 5’8″, so if you are on the short side, you’ll probably want to do a shorter vest for balance.

Here’s the same long Double Zero vest at Belk and it’s on sale!

Here’s a shorter version from Target (affiliate link).

Here’s another version also from Target (affiliate link).

I know I’m going to have fun wearing this during the Winter season this year.  I paired it with a American Eagle sweater that I picked up last year on clearance.

And these jeggings are snakeskin print by Calvin Klein and I found them at TJ Maxx.

Boots are Very Volatile brand and I got them earlier this year when it was still cold.  They are a gray/beige color and I’ve really enjoyed them. Unfortunately, they are not available at Nordstrom anymore. Here’s a similar pair from Sole Society (affiliate link).

And these boots from Ivanka Trump (affiliate link) are cute too.

This faux fur vest is going to be very fun.

Back of the vest.

It’s definitely longer than the normal vest, but I like the shape and style of it and it’s so warm and fuzzy.

That’s it for today!

The winner of the Textured Ink giveaway has been announced on the widget and the winner (Kay) emailed!

Love the longer vest on you. I think this is definitely for those who were graced with height:) I have the short vest from Target and love it!

I thought the last photos were taken in front of your newly painted driveway wall and that you had added stones on top! You could put stones like that on top of your wall for some visual interest!!

You should send the pictures of you in the grey/white outfit (love the boots) to a modelling agency! The entire outfit is exquisite! I hope you get lots of wear out of the vest – I know I would!

Lauren looks great as always! She has the happiest smile!
