Back today with another fashion post and I’m wearing jeans again. Â Seems to be my daily fashion staple these days, but they are comfortable. Â I have to remember to take pics of myself when I get dressed and go out, so today it is about the top I’m wearing.
This was from the shopping spree I did in January at the Atlanta Mart. Â Buying samples there is really fun and you have to hit the timing just right to find these deals.
This white top is a little Bohemian and since it is trimmed in turquoise (one of my fave colors to wear), I knew I’d love it. Â It has a little Aztec feel with brown trim mixed in too. Â The brand is A Personal Touch and this might be from a new line since I found it at the mart. Â I couldn’t find anything like it online, from this brand.

I love the long flowy length of it with the scalloped trim. Â I paired it with jeans this day. Â That necklace was a long ago yardsale find.
And stacked on my turquoise jewelry. Â Love all these bracelets together.
I also have a new pair of chocolate brown pants from C Wonder that I am just now wearing and I like it with those as well, since the trim is dark brown.
I found one Boho top  (affiliate link) online that is similar, but this is about the closest I could find.
I know I’ll enjoy this cute top all summer long. Â I love the relaxed feel and it can be dressed up or down. Â I’ll be wearing it with jeans and my new wedge leather sandals too.
Here’s another casual jeans and top outfit that I wore on Easter weekend. Â My family visited a beautiful garden here in Atlanta that I’ll be sharing soon and so I dressed for a comfortable day of walking outside.
This top I’ve had for about 3 years and it came from Anthropologie. Â I have just a couple of their things and shop the sales. Â I love this top with the navy and turquoise colors and the mix of stripes and paisley.
Again, I wore my stacking turquoise bracelets and those cowhide shoes, which are really comfortable.

I bought this pair of straight jeans by Banana Republic from a consignment store recently for $15.
Next week I’ll be back with a maxi dress I found at Ross that’s really cute! Â So, see I do wear dresses sometimes.
I’m going to work on getting some more of my girlfriends with different shapes and heights to do some fashion posts for me. It’s hard for all of us to get together to do this, but I’m determined to make it happen!

I’m off on another adventure today! Â Flying to Austin, TX to tour the HGTV Smart home. I’ve never been to Austin and have heard such great things about the city, so I’m really excited. Â It will only be a one night trip, but hopefully I can see a bit of the city. Â You know I’ll share it all when I return!Â

Could never do this post, most of my clothes are from thrift stores.
Brand names, $1-$3, for shirts, purses, pants, dresses, shorts……addictive.
However, I do like shoes, and, alas, pay real money !
Love the ceiling of your front porch. Great color.

Both outfits are so cute, Rhoda! I have a top similar to your white one that I got at Dillard’s. It made me look pregnant (not my desire at 51) so I took it to the alterationist and she fixed it up for me. 🙂 Can’t wait to wear it now. I have made it a goal to pick up a few unique tops here and there like the two you are showing us today. Adds so much fun to our wardrobes to mix it up a little!

You look so nice in both outfits! I’m glad you are sharing this post with us. I look forward to it every week. I gave up wearing heels except when I dress up, so I might try the wedges. I remember they were popular when I was in highschool back in the 70’s and I liked them then. Thank you for sharing!

Love the new top , Rhoda! Looks so chic on you too! When I looked at the link you provided that top reminded me of one I just picked up in Belk that is Jessica Simpson. It was xs left over from winter but short sleeve, navy trimmed in pink. It has fast become my favorite shirt for $20 down from $69. I especially love your white with turquoise though…….it will see you thru the whole summer beautifully in style! Love the other shirt too with slip on tennis shoes. In the 90’s Keds slip on were a daily shoe for me in the summer along with sandals. Need to get more. Thanks for sharing with us…….you look fab in your two looks!

I love your cute outfits! I really need to do some shopping. My wardrobe is really sad right now!

I really love the second top. Looks really comfy. So glad you do these Fashion over 50 blogs and you make it look easy. I HATE to shop for clothing! Especially for myself. Being plus size and over 50 I never know where to begin. So many clothing stores, magazines, tv celebrities, etc. all seem to cater to a perfect size 4 and or the 20 year old. I mean some over 50 gals still look great if you were blessed but there comes a point where you just look silly in the so-called ” latest fashions”.
Jeanie says
Very cute tops, but they’d be too long on me. I, too, live in jeans.

Great outfit. Have a safe trip.

Hi Rhoda,
It’s your pal Jackie from diydesignmom.com! I wanted to say I love your shopping spree! Your taste in fashion is as fabulous as your taste in home design. You look beautiful and I love your accessories. I noticed you mentioned you have a pair of pants from C Wonder…what the heck happened to the store? They are gone now…all shut down. I think it is so sad because I loved all their stuff. That was a great place for a preppy designer and I sure will miss it. Anyhow, I recently posted another article directing new fans to your page showcasing your beadboard wallpaper. Since I took down the paper I am trying to determine what to do with the old vintage 1930’s bathroom in my brooklyn apartment. Maybe I will embrace the old feel of it, but it is so hard with yellow and black tile. I may end up making it a giant bumble themed room, (laughing on the inside). Hope you are well! You look fantastic!

Thank you so much, Jackie! The only C Wonder I have been in was an outlet store here in N. Atlanta. I hit them just at the right time before Christmas when they were going out of business. I bought everything I loved in my size and picked up some great pieces. I heard they were closing most of their stores and apparently all of them now. It is a shame, since I had just found them. But, the regular prices sure weren’t as appealing as the going out of business prices. I got lucky on that!
