Fashion over 50: Casual Spring Looks

Hey there friends!  My sister and I are headed to New Orleans today to see those girls and Lauren, so looking forward to a fun time down there. I’ll be whatever we are up to, I’m sure.  If you follow me on Instagram, I’ll be sharing on my Stories over there, so instant updates on all things NOLA.  I know we’ll be getting some yummy food, we always do!

Today’s fashion post is just a casual outfit I wore recently and I just shared this white top from Cracker Barrel not long ago, but it’s worth sharing again. I know many of you are experiencing colder than normal spring weather and I feel for you!  Our weather has been back and forth, with Spring one day and freezing cold the next.  I’m sure it won’t be too long before we all get the Spring that we were looking for, I just hope it lasts a minute and doesn’t go straight to summer heat.

Here’s the top again, Cracker Barrel has it online, but looks like it’s running low. By the way, after I shared this top the first time, they saw me sharing on Instagram and sent me a nice goodie box of some of their women’s accessories, like a beach hat, purse, scarf and a few other things. Nice to know that brands notice when you give them a shout-out.

These pants are ponte stretch pants that I picked up from Costco a couple years ago and they are very comfy. I love that they have stretch, but I can dress them up or down.  They have a waitband and zipper and the are straight without being too form fitting.

I’ve had these leopard flats for a couple years too and so I’ve linked a pair below that are just like my beige suede flats I have. They are so comfortable, so if I was buying another pair of leopard flats, I would get the ones below.

I added my chunky turquoise jewlery, necklace picked up in Austin, TX recently.

One more shot beside the pretty purple clematis that is blooming in our front yard right now.

That’s it for this week! Hope you enjoyed and I’m linking the exact pants I have on (these ponte pants are great fabric) and similar flat shoes below, in case you’re interested!  Loft also has a pretty good sale going on at 30% off tops and and extra 10% off if you buy 3 or more. I’ve included a few cute tops from TJ Maxx, always a great place to find bargains!  (affiliate links used)

Love the top. Very pretty. Bell sleeves seem to be the thing this year. Started seeing them in the dresses by Glamour Farm a couple years ago and in little girls outfits (dresses and tops & bottoms with bell sleeves and embellished bell bottoms/too cute!). this top looks like it has a sheer top layer that looks lacy. Looks lovely on you. Love the clematis! We’re still SNOWING up her in Ohio. Longing for the warmth of the sun up here! 🙂

THank you, Jamie, yes those bell sleeves are so on trend and have been around for a year or so. I do like them, they feel like a fresh version of the first time around.

That’s a really cute top. I just pulled my white tops out and decided that the weather is right for them. Your turquoise jewelry is so pretty.
