I’ve got a couple more outfits for you today for Fashion over 50 that I’ve worn recently. Â One more new top from Anthropologie that I found on the sale rack and some comfort booties that I’m sharing today. Thank you all for coming by and reading. Â I love that y’all are into fashion too and want to keep your style going.
I’ve shared this sweater dress with you before, but I got it at TJ Maxx a few years ago. Â I really enjoy sweater dresses and boots during the winter months. Â They are so comfortable and look good too.

When I wore this dress before, I wore my black boots because I didn’t have brown yet, but the brown looks so much better. I paired them with brown tights and that pretty teal and gold scarf.
Here’s a video I did on that particular way to tie a scarf:

I recently bought this leopard cuff bracelet after I saw it on a friend’s blog (Cassie, Hi Sugarplum). She has great style.

Those are a few fashion over 50 ideas for this week. Â And you might get some ideas for Christmas gifts for yourself or a friend!
Here are a few sweater dresses I spotted that would look great with boots:

This long gray/black sweater I picked up at the Atlanta Mart earlier this year. Â The top, cream black and gray, is from Anthropologie sale rack. The leggings are Hue that I’ve showed before in a damask pattern. Â Those suede boots are no longer available.

I really like this top from Anthropologie, as the back is longer than the front.

See that here? Â The back swoops down longer which is good with leggings.

Leggings and boots.

Today, I’m sharing a new pair of booties with you. I got an email from Dansko, a company I didn’t know anything about until I looked at their website. Â I loved how they got started 20 years ago, when a husband and wife bought clogs at a tiny store in Europe. Â Their friends wanted more, so they shared with more and more people and Dansko was born. Â Clogs were all the rage back in the 70’s and I haven’t seen many of them in the last few years, but these shoes are very comfortable.
These are the Markie, by the way!

I read that the company is completely employee owned and located in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania. Â They have all types of shoes with their signature all-day comfort and support. Â I can definitely see that, as I wore these out to a dance for the first time and they never hurt my feet. Â The soles are wooden and even though they feel a little stiff and clog-like, they cushion your feet and the toe box is really spread out for toe comfort. Â No pinching at all. Â I noticed that it felt like I was wearing flats when I had them on, because of the way they support the foot, even though there is a heel on them.
If you are looking for comfortable shoes that give your feet support, I think Dansko fits the bill. Â They are more stylish than most comfort shoes and these booties could go all day long.
Footwear Plus Magazine is voting on Dansko as a favorite, go here to vote!

So, you might want to put these on your Christmas wish list and check out the rest of their shoe items at Dansko, including flats, wedges, and boots. Â They aren’t inexpensive, but I’m pretty sure these would last many years. Â They use top quality materials and meet high standards for comfort, support, durability, fit and performance. Â Check them out if you need comfort shoes!
And great news, Dansko is giving away a pair of their shoes to one of my readers!Â

I love the Amelia bootie in antiqued black!
The Ashby in Antique black, I love their shoes, I had a pair of black clog looking shoes that took forever to wear out, love that they are a US made product, I didn’t know that!!
Love you sweaters and sweater dresses, Rhoda!
Dansko shoes are so pretty! I love them all, but if I won, I would get a pair of traditional boots and they might last for the rest of my life! I have never had high quality boots before.
Love the Amelia in the brown antiqued!
I enjoy your fashion posts, Rhoda. I continue to do fashion 70’s style posts. Fun to do.
Love the Odette boot, and love your fashion posts! Look forward to them each week.
I love your outfits and the video you shared. I’m always fiddling with my scarves trying to figure out a good knot. The one you taught me will be my fave. Dansko shoes are awesome! So great for those that are on their feet a lot – great arch support!
I love the brown Odette boots, what a thrill it would be to win them. Rhoda you are such an inspiration. I recently found your blog and I love every minute of it! I hope to start a blog and I learned so much about it from you. Thanks, it’s great to find a new friend! I’m a soon to be retired teacher and I am looking for a new passion. Your blog is awesome, thanks for sharing your style too!
I absolutely love your sweater. What is the Atlanta Mart? Is there a name brand in the sweater? Maybe I could find it on ebay or something. I NEED THAT SWEATER!!! 🙂
HI, Kate, that sweater brand is Lisa International. The ATL Mart is the huge wholesale merchandise mart here in ATL and it’s only open to the trade. I can get in there and sometimes shop the sample sales. It’s fun!
Love your blog, love reading about your beautiful home, your mom and dad and the rest of your family.
Pro XP… Would be the choice to start my collection.
This past summer Plantar Facsiitis hit with a vengeance!! A nurse at my eye doctor’s office saw me limping in and said, “You need these!” Dansko!!
(I feel your pain with the hair….but, I love the wavy look on you…looks great!!)
Jo Marie
Styles I like are the Lulu or Markie. Your fashion post today is so chic and on trend!! Also, you have me inspired to go buy a white tree from post yesterday, can’t wait to see completed!!
I love the Odette boot in brown.
It is hard to chose just 1. I wear clogs frequently but I think I will pick the Camryn boots. They would be great for a New England winter.
I love the Odette boot in brown. Enjoying your fashion posts.
I LOVE the Maria bootie in blue snake!! I have had Dansko clogs before. Very comfortable and last forever!
I love the Maisie sandal in black. All the stylist at the hair salon I go to wear them. They say their feet are never ache at the end of the day.
I like the poppy clogs!
So hard to choose – though the Maria and the Markie would fit my wardrobe perfectly! Thanks for the opportunity – my fingers are crossed!
I’ve been wearing Dansko clogs since the 70’s and still have a pair from the ’80s. Had many pairs back then….wine, navy, white (I worked in a doctors office). Leather upper, wooden sole….sounded like a horse walking the halls. My favorite is the Sonja as it looks most like the original slip-on clog. The booties look great too! Haven’t worn Dansko recently but will have to give them a try. Hoping I win!
I also meant to include in my previous comment that the Professional are my favorite. I have a pit in the black patent leather and have had them for 11 years. Although they are still in great shape, I would love a new pair. To everyone reading this post, I swear by these shoes. Even if you don’t win the giveaway, you owe it to yourself to buy a pair of Dansko shoes. They will be in your wardrobe for a long time!
I have worn danskos for many years. There is not another shoe this well made. I have been asked so many times where did you get those shoes! I work in retail and standing on my feet all day, I could not have done it without danskos .Love love love them.
