Fashion over 50: Date Night Black and White

Hey there! Hope you all are having a good week. I’m all caught up on projects for now and looking forward to getting outside soon and getting our deck set up again for spring/summer months. I can’t wait to get back outside again and would love for spring to last longer this year. Gotta wait for the pollen to go away too, right? It’s always a process getting ready for porch sitting. I’ve also got some planting I want to do along our fence by the garage and I’m thinking Limelight hydrangeas are happening there!

Today on Fashion over 50, I’m sharing a date night outfit I wore last weekend. Mark and I went out to a nice dinner on Friday night so I got a little more dressed up and out of my yoga pants. It was a somewhat mild evening so I wore a cold shoulder top and took my long black sweater for cover too. Black and cream is always a good combo.

I’ve shared Covered Perfectly with you several times and I always enjoy this cold shoulder top in black and white. If you buy 2 tops from Covered Perfectly you can get a 3rd top for free. That’s a really good deal! I have several tops from them in my closet.

Those suede shoes were a Goodwill find and looked brand new. The brand is Sseko and it looks like they don’t make loafers anymore, but apparently these were pricey when they were new, at least $100. They are so comfy and the black suede is trimmed with a little gold edging.

My leather bag is Cole Haan and I picked it up on clearance last year at TJ Maxx. It’s a great tote bag in black and white, my fave combo. I’ve linked a few Cole Haan bags below.

This site has my exact bag, new for $126. Not bad for a bag that retailed over $300. The retail tags were on my bag when I bought it from TJ Maxx. I got mine around $100 on clearance. I love Cole Haan shoes and purses!

These pants are by Worth and I got them at a consignment store in Roswell. They are a textured knit fabric and slim cut. I love the off white shade and they will go with a lot of tops.

With gold jewelry, that’s a look I love. Easy and casual, but a little more dressed up than jeans would be.

These earrings are from a gal on Instagram who sent me several pair to style and I love them! Check out Christi on Instagram for all her earrings.

Here are a few things I found online that are similar to what I’m wearing. These are affiliate links, which means I earn a small commission if you buy through my links.

I know Mark had the prettiest date at the restaurant! Love, love, love that bag! I’m reminding myself not to get over anxious…our last frost date is April 15 and the horrible yellow pollen sticks around until May. But it’s not raining and I’m hopping on the mower today!

Thank you, Roxanne, I know I love spring but the pollen definitely makes it more challenging to clean things up and get it all ready for lounging. I can’t wait for that part!

Cute outfit, Rhoda! Yes, I need to clean out our back porch this weekend too. Good luck with yours and our pollen situation. The photographer who is taking pics for the realtor will be here next week as we are moving some furniture out this weekend also to a storage unit. Since this house is smaller we want all the sf to show up good. Hope you are still enjoying your new home! Your hair looks great! I did mine curly Sunday just to see how it would do. Omg, I think its getting curlier. I had some tight ringlets in the back mixed with “s” curls. I do love being able to bounce back & forth between straight and curly. How about you?

Hey, Bonnie, good luck with the move! And yes, it’s nice to do both. Today I’m wearing it straight. So I’m sort of doing 1/2 the week straight and half curly. I may do more curly going into summer months since humidity is such an issue here. Hoping those products continue to work in humidity.
