Hey, friends! It’s a pretty busy week this week with family things, parties, and general Christmas cheer that we all experience this time of year. I’m so enjoying having Mark home for a couple of weeks until after Christmas. It’s been so nice to get a few things done around the house and enjoy it too.
I don’t have that much for you today on Fashion over 50. Â I wore the Old Navy dress to Franklin last week, so I’ll share that again and another outfit that I wore to church on Sunday, so nothing new this week.
This is the dress from Old Navy that man of you bought. I’ve really enjoyed this dress, so comfy to wear out and all day long. That’s a new Cole Haan purse I found at TJ Maxx earlier this year on sale. It’s a beauty!
It was perfect with my long black sweater that I shared earlier.
I love this long sweater with the dress, perfect on those days that aren’t so cold.
And another dress and sweater I wore recently, none of these are new, they’ve been with me for a few years, so I can’t link any of this.
I do enjoy long sweaters and dresses this time of year, layered with tights and boots.
I found this dress at Ross a few years ago and the sweater is from Nordstrom at least 3 years ago.
And here’s the dress without the sweater. Â The sweater adds just enough warmth.
Here’s the dress and sweater again, if you missed it the first time I shared. I love these pieces (affiliate links)!
I love the dresses and your hair cut!
Your hair looks like mine last Christmas. I change up constantly. I like that type bang on you. The straight bob is easy & so stylish. I flip flop between curly & straight now. It has grown a lot but I go to my hair stylist today so no telling what I will decide on. The sweater dresses are cute. I use to buy a lot of those at Stein Mart because they had PP but that size is not showing up a lot so have to go to PS which works sometimes. Thanks for sharing your cute looks! Old Navy can be fun….I shop with Diana in there and find some cute things too. Merry Christmas, Rhoda!
Merry Christmas, Bonnie! I know, I switch up my hair too, but straight lasts so much longer. If I wear it curly, every morning I’m faced with wild hair that I have to tame before going out the door.
You look amazing Rho! I bought the Old Navy dress. It was a little short for me so I paired it with a pair of jeans (cute ragged ones from Loft) a red turtleneck sweater and black booties. I got lots of compliments.
Merry Christmas to you and Mark!
Much Love,
Judy
I’m so glad you got it, so cute. Merry Christmas to you, Judy! xoxo
Liking your new hair cut.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Rhoda…I have been following your blog since you purchased your first darling house.Love the design part and Fashion Over 50 (60). You look wonderful in everything. Just had to tell you since you and Mark have married you just “glow”…you wear your happiness so beautifully. Happy Holiday to you and all your loved ones.
Hi, Caroline, thank you so much! We are so very happy and it does make the Holidays and everything else more wonderful. Merry Christmas to you!
You go, mama! You look stunning.
I have a question, I’m short and I love boots and dresses also,my question is,can short people wear boots? I’ve heard I shouldn’t but I really like them.
HI, Betty, I don’t know why you couldn’t wear boots as a short person. I say try them on and get the right hemline that works for you. Maybe just above the knee or a little higher with tights or leggings.
I bought the Old Navy dress too but it looked baggy and not attractive until I paired it with a vest, scarf and leggings. Love the comfortable weight of it. Thanks for the recommendation!
Does your cute necklace with the #12 on it have any special meaning? Is it still available?
HI, Susan, I got that necklace when I went to Round top a few years ago. The vendor was Grandmother’s Buttons. I found her online, very unique one of a kind jewelry pieces. The 12 is for my birth month of December. I didn’t see the numbers necklaces online but she still may be able to do them.
