Fashion over 50: Fall Finds from Old Navy

Happy Wednesday, it’s time for Fashion over 50!

I went on a little shopping spree at Old Navy last week and found some fun things that you just might like too, so sharing those today. I hardly ever go in the stores to shop, but ordered online and somehow one of my items shipped to my local store, so I went to pick it up and while I was there, I looked through the clearance racks and scored summer shorts and a few things for Mark at really great prices.  So, if you don’t want to find stuff, don’t go in the store when they have these big clearance sales.  I’m sure I’ll be happy next summer to pull out my new shorts that were $4 and $5 each!

I’ve seen this camel coat from Old Navy floating around in social media and took a chance on it too.  I ordered it in Small Tall and I love that Old Navy offers many things in Tall these days.  The sleeves are extra long so I can even cuff them a bit if I want to. It has buttons that button all the way down and hidden behind a placket (is that a word or did I make that up?) of the coat. Anyway the buttons are hidden when buttoned.

I love the side slit pockets and the length. I have another coat that I like in my closet that’s gray houndstooth, but it doesn’t have pockets, which is a negative for me.  The high collar will be nice to ward off the cold and the weight of this jacket will be perfect for so many outings.

I’m pairing it with the Kut From the Cloth dark wash jeans I got from Nordstrom recently and I’m really liking these jeans.  Looks like they are sold out on the link below to Nordstrom, so here’s a link to Macy’s (afflilate link) with the same jeans.

They look a little dressy and aren’t too tight which some of my skinnies tend to be almost uncomfortable since they are super stretchy and snug.  I love this wine colored velvet T from Old Navy and it was very inexpensive.  A great color for Fall!

I’m wearing those taupe booties I shared already too, but they are a nice color for this time of year to mix in with many things.

This pink plaid top from Old Navy is also on sale and I really like their brushed cotton longer tops like this. I have a gray and white check and a black and white check and enjoy them every year. This will be a new addition this year and it will look great layered with sweaters and boots.

This also comes in Tall, which adds a little extra length to the hem and sleeves.  I got this in a Small Tall as well.

This gray heathered T-shirt is also a great deal at $8!  It has a little stretch to it, is soft and comfy and comes in several colors.  It’s pictured in mustard in the pics below, so look at all the colors and see what you like. I love mixing in grays for layering.

Gray and camel is a good mix too.

I may have to buy more of these short sleeve T-shirts as they would be great for year round wear and are a nice weight and feel.

That’s it for this week!  It was fun to add a few things to my closet this year. I still pull out my old favorites year after year and have been wearing many of my things for at least 5 years.  It will probably be time to clean out my closet again soon.  I like to do that once a year to get rid of things that have been hanging in there not being worn for awhile.

Everything I have on is linked below and the plaid top and T-shirt comes in several color ways, so take a look. Old Navy changes their sales often and over the weekend, they had a code for 20% off everything, so I shared it on my Instagram over the weekend.  I signed up for their emails and also got a 20% off coupon to use on this order for everything, so the coat ended up being $55 with that coupon. So check out their sales and coupons for the best deals. I know this coat will be a favorite for years to come. It’s not lined, but for the price it doesn’t even matter.  It’s cozy and a good weight for cooler days that aren’t too cold, a great layering piece.

HI, Lynn, I haven’t really had their T’s before, but with cotton tops like this, I wash them and hang them up after I put them in the dryer for just a couple of minutes.

Hi, Patty, they are on the widget below with all the rest of the clothes. Let me know if you can’t see it. Well darn, I just checked and they are now sold out at Nordstrom. I’ll see if I can find them elsewhere.
