Fashion over 50: Hot Pink Stripes and White Jeans

Hey friends!  I’m still in Austin this week and I’m sure I’ll have some fun things to share with you when I return home. In the meantime, I wore this outfit last weekend to a dinner party we were invited to at a friend’s home, so I felt like it was time to get the spring styles out and went with white jeans and this pink and white striped top I’ve had for a few years from Loft.

As soon as it starts to warm up, I get out my white jeans and don’t pay attention to the old “only wear white between Easter and Labor Day” tradition.  With our warm weather in April and May, white jeans just say here comes summer to me.

These jeans are by Kut From the Kloth (affiliate link) and I’ve shared them before, called Diana.

Striped top is from Loft from several years ago and that scarf is from a sweet reader who sent it to me last summer, just because.  It’s such a pretty color and I’ve been waiting to wear it with this top for summer.

Shoes are suede flats I’ve shared before, the Winny Ballet flat (affiliate Link). They are so comfortable I’m considering getting another pair in a color for summer.

And that’s it for today!  I’ve got a fun outfit to share with you next week, one that’s going to be my Easter Sunday outfit, so can’t wait to share that.

I’ll be back tomorrow with my spring tour of our home, so I hope you’ll stop by for that.  I’m lolly-gagging here in Austin and enjoying my week here.  The weather is beautiful and I’m loving catching up with my old friends and new ones.

Love the outfit! The colors are so pretty together….so neat that the scarf happened to match the striped top you already had…they look great together! It’s still cool here this week, but I’m getting my spring clothes out soon!

Good morning Rhoda, I’ve been off the grid for a while now. Dealing with some life. I still check in on you however, and your home is looking really pretty. I’m with you on white paints. I’ve been wearing mine as well and Sandels also. Down south here in Little Rock it is more than warm enough to do so and I am ready to get to my cooler clothes. Getting ready to go down to the gulf in about a month and I’m looking forward to the warm sun , sandels and Capri s Cute outfit.

So great to see your spring outfits. I just picked up a cute pair of white skinny jeans at a local consignment shop.

We’re in the midst of a heavy nor’Easter right now here in Philadelphia area. I look forward to seeing your spring house decor.

I’m with you on the white jeans and I love Kut jeans and have several pair and I do believe they are the Diana style as well. Cute top, I love stripes. Happy rest of the week!
