Hi ladies! I’m back today with another fun combo from Covered Perfectly. Â I’ve worked with them before and they have some great looking tops. Â They are a nice clothing company for women, with products made in the USA and they cater to women over 40 with longer tops and plus sizes too.
They recently sent a top and cascading vest combo that I thought is really fun and versatile. This look is more of a Fall look, but since September is next month and will be here before we know it, I wanted to share it with you all.
The vest is very lightweight and flowy and is great in any weather since it is so light.  I love how it drapes down the sides.  It’s long and makes you feel like you are sort of covered up, but it moves well too.  Of course, I love the black and white and it comes in a few other prints too, but black and white dots just speak to me.  The white 3/4 sleeve Simple Comfort top is very versatile for so many looks.
I saw a few ways that this tunic can be tied, so I tried out a few different things to show you. Â This is just tied in a loose knot and the longer top shows underneath.
This top is the same 3/4 length sleeves that I’ve worn before in green and the MicroModal fabric at Covered Perfectly is so soft and pretty. Â I have really enjoyed all the tops I’ve gotten from them. Â I’m wearing this combo with my skinny black jeans and strappy black wedge sandals.
You can also wear the tunic as a long scarf, by just putting the armholes over your head and tying in a soft knot. Â I love how versatile this piece is and my favorite way is just letting it flow…..
I took several shots of me showing off the tunic and put together a gif, so that you can see it in action. See how fun it is! Â Twirling and swirling in my long cascading vest.
I am an affiliate with Covered Perfectly, so do make a commission off any sales from my blog, but I love their products and enjoy sharing great finds with my readers.

My friend, Lakeitha, brought me some of her newest jewelry and I’m wearing it in these pics too. Â I am so in love with gold right now and love these chunky pieces. Â I already had the gold link tassel bracelet and recently got the necklace to match, along with another gold triangle bracelet with clear stones. Â I wear it with a pretty gold cuff watch and gold earrings, which I got at other sources. Â You can find her jewelry at Wrist Soiree and I sure don’t mind showing off these beautiful things.
I have purchased a couple of tops from covered perfectly and I can say they are definitely not styled for petite women. If you are tall, they would be fine, but are far too long for me. Almost like a slightly too short dress.
Debbie, thanks that is good to know.
Agreed with Debbie,
I’m another petite Debbie…5’2″. I just got two of their tops and will keep them because I do like the fabric but they are a bit too long! It will cost me $14.00 each to hem them so I do have to take that into account. Perhaps they will start a petite line with the same items in a shorter length. I think it would do very well.
Best,
Debrra
Also I meant to add it depends on if you are long waisted or short waisted. I call it the upper body to lower body ratio….lol . I have a short upper body so tops that are longer just don’t work for me as well. I do have a similar vest from another company and it works really well on me but is a little shorter.
Gorgeous
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am headed over to their site now!!!!!! ( lovin’ the hair too!!! ) Have a blessed day!!!!!
You look lovely Rhoda!! I would wear that tunic. Being 5’8″, I find a lot of tops too short – and this looks like it would be great! I’m not sure they deliver to the UK though? Such a happy blog you have Rhoda – that’s why I come back each and every day xx
Chris – UK
I have to disagree with Debbie. I’m 5’3″‘ and a size 6, and recently ordered three tops from them. They’re not too long on me at all. I love how soft and how well they hang on your body!
Rhoda, I’ve been looking at this vest for some time. It looks great on you!!
Great versatility to this vest…Love it!! jodie

I too am loving the hair by the way
Your hair looks great, Rhoda ! Love the long vest & flowy look. Summer is a mess here in Mississippi right now with high heat indexes so can’t even begin to think Fall yet. ha! Maybe soon…….you look lovely in your Fall outfit ! Thanks for sharing- love your fashion posts 🙂
Much better look for you – cover up that skin, girl!
You really need to give it a rest, Tonya. You can also find another blog to follow.
Ardith, thank you for saying what I wanted to say. I do still have control of the delete button and I don’t mind using it. 🙂
go girl! everyone is too blunt, too bold now days in our lack of good manners world. You look amazing for any age. Your good genes, height and hair make for a pretty lady.
Agree with Gayle. I’ve been reading your blog for a couple of years and don’t think I’ve ever commented but since I weighed in on the comments today, I am compelled to also let you know how much I’ve enjoyed your blog. You have such a positive, can-do spirit, I can tell you are a lovely person. I think it takes come courage to “put yourself out there” in internet land. I appreciate all that you have to share and am happy for the blessings you do have in your life. I am pleased that you are successful in your business and would be love to call you “friend”. I own a business (I am a dentist) and work very very hard at it, and it is inspiring to see others’ successes. I think you are terrific!
Thank you, Debra, I appreciate that so much!
Tonya, I can’t imagine the horrific life you’ve had, or are having now, which would lead you to spew such rage at Rhoda, a blogger whom you don’t even know in real life. Perhaps she embodies everything you wish you could be, sincere, caring, loving, likable, and damn…pretty to boot, the kind of woman a reasonable person would love to have as a friend? To my mind, Rhoda presents herself as she is, what the French call “a woman of a certain age,” who is confident in herself without at all being arrogant, who dresses fashionably, yet age appropriately, is interested and interesting, and lives her life to the fullest at whatever age she happens to have had the good fortune to reach. Tonya, “cover her skin,” why would she ever do that? I feel very sorry for you, indeed. I don’t know if you are a person of Rhoda’s age who thinks of herself as “less than,” because she’s no longer an ingenue…or a just a snarky young person who can’t imagine ever aging? Whichever it is, Tonya, you are suffering a “midnight of the soul,” from which you’ll never recover unless…though I don’t know what that “unless,” requires. If you are, indeed, a young person, I will leave you with this paraphrased quote and hope you ponder it. A Tombstone Epitaph: “Remember me as you go by. As you are now, so once was I. As I am now, so shall you be. Prepare yourself to follow me.” My prescription for you, Tonya, is some psychotherapy and watching “A Christmas Carol.”
Very well said Patricia! Thanks for articulating what I, and I’m sure many others, feel!
Rhoda, I love the flow-y look of the vest on you and the relaxed hair style just adds to the look. You have always had a great style! Thanks for keeping all of us, no matter our age or size, informed and inspired in many areas!
Bless you friend,
Vic
Such a cute outfit on you. I love your hair it’s very soft and pretty Perfect outfit for you.
You “rock” in that tunic! It looks great on you! But you look good in so many things. Bet that tunic would look good with your turquoise jewelry as well.
What a great look! love the twirling video too! Keep up the fashion posts – look forward to them every week.
That’s just geogeous on you Rhoda, I love the ‘gif’, it really sold me on the vest! Going to their site right now!! Thanks so much for sharing this!
Oops, clearly my spell checker is not yet awake this morning….
On Thursday after reading this I did go straight to their web site and ordered the vest, a white top like the one you’re wearing here and a black V-Neck top. They were at my mailbox on Saturday……amazing response time and free shipping and returns, WOW!! I love the fabric they tops are made and it does feel wonderfully soft on my skin, the workmanship is excellent and they look great. So thank you once again Rhoda for introducing your readers to such a great product, I’m certain I’ll be ordering more of their items and suspect friends will try them as well.
I’m so glad to hear that, enjoy them! I love the fabrics too, so soft.
Absolutely gorgeous (for any age group)!!!!
