Fashion over 50: Looking Ahead to Fall

Hey, friends!  I’m back today with a couple of new things for Fashion over 50.  You all know I don’t get dressed up all that much these days.  My lifestyle and working from home give me the opportunity to dress in a casual manner most of the time and I don’t hate that.  I really do like that I don’t have to get dressed up all the time, I did it for so long when I was in the Corporate world that I don’t miss it at all!

I found a couple of things that passed by me online and checked them out and bought, so I’m sharing those with you today.  Our downtown Acworth is a great backdrop for taking fashion pics, so I took a few extra while we were out and about.

We are so enjoying our little town and it’s nice to come downtown to eat fairly often, since we are so close.  Here’s what I’m wearing.  This cute utility jacket from Gap Factory caught my eye and since I already have an olive green one with a drawstring waist like this, I thought this raspberry color would be really fun for Fall as well. Gap also has this one in olive green too.

It’s a good color on me and mixes with a lot of other neutrals.

That cute striped t-shirt is from Target and was a steal at $5. It’s a soft cotton, not a super fine piece of clothing but great for layering. I think that one is no longer available to ship, but here’s another striped one (affiliate link) that’s equally cute.

I have had this leopard belt for many years, but you could probably find something similar online, I’ve linked one from Target below.

Did you notice the shoes?  You all know I have a thing for leopard and these are so fun. They are an espadrille type and I’ll show a closer pic below. Mules or slides have been in and out of style over the years and they are back in a big way again now.  I’ve had my share of them too and enjoy them in these in between days of Fall and Spring for easy slip on wear.

These will be so fun to have in my closet for Fall.

And the jacket will as well. It’s a happy color and great piece for layering with neutrals.

Here’s a closer look at the shoes from Target, linked below.  They are very comfy too, always a plus.  I know I’ll have fun with these. The top of the shoes is a soft suede like fabric.

That’s it for today!  I’m getting a little excited about Fall and love this time of year, how about you?  We’ve felt that first chill in the morning air already and I’m looking forward to pleasant days on our deck.  We have so enjoyed sitting out there in the morning and late afternoon into evening.

Check out these links below to a similar t-shirt, belt, and the shoes I’m wearing:

Such a cute outfit and I do like the jacket. It would be so serviceable all fall and into winters in the south.
